I've been using Xvive's U2 as my bass wireless for several years and like it enough that when I started looking for IEMs for my 5 member band I started with Xvive. The U4 got good reviews so after watching some demo videos and given my experience with the U2 I recommended that we go with the U4. Purchased this product - the U4R4 which is a package of 1 transmitter and 4 receivers - plus an additional transmitter and receiver so I can have two custom monitor mixes. If we need more customization adding other transmitters should be easy. So far so good. All I've been able to do is some at home testing but that is promising. The U4 is solidly constructed and sounds good. The one minor annoyance I have is that Xvive decided to only include 2 storage pouches and 3 chargers in a package that has 4 transmitters. The lack of storage pouches I can get around but the 3 chargers are actually a problem. Each charger can charge two devices simultaneously so it's enough to charge the 4 receivers and single transmitter at the same time but that means I can't give each member of the group their own receiver to keep with their personal gear because they don't have a way to charge it without buying a additional charger. I can't believe I'm the only one out there who would rather have people take possession of their personal gear than me hold it all and be responsible for making sure they’re all charged. Considering that the U4R4, while inexpensive compared to other wireless system, is a $550 package is it really too much to ask that there be enough storage pouches and chargers so that each user an have their own?

We have used these for about 30 gigs and they are a game changer for me playing bass and never being close enough to the limited floor monitors on stage...

I am a professional musician and perform in shows at a theater as a steady gig (plus additional freelance work) and have used this Xvive U4 as my in-ear system for a few years now. This is my second set. I purchased the second set of these as a back-up (which I have never needed) and because the original one that I was using developed a loose and scratchy volume/gain knob. Please understand that this only happened after using these on a daily basis for a couple of years. The original still works fine, but I find that the volume control moves too easily. The new ones that I bought to replace the original does not have this issue, but then again....it is new as of a couple of months ago. They have great quality with NO hiss or background interference...easily powers my in-ears with plenty of gain remaining if I ever needed it. Find a clear channel and you are good to go!! Other in-ear monitors cost far more and do not offer any better quality than these. I have been VERY HAPPY with this purchase and have recommended this model to other musicians.
