Delivers the crema! Do you maintenance!
ONE YEAR UPDATE: Today while doing descaling on the machine, I cleaned the flow head (where the portofilter and basket attach). Wiping out the leftover grounds was first, but when I took out the flow head diffuser, it was 50% blocked with stuck coffee (see photo). The coffee wouldn't brush out, so I used a pin to clean each hole. Took a while. Completely cleanand reinstalled, and the machine works like new again. Do your maintenance!EIGHT MONTH UPDATE: Still working well and zero complaints. Loving the simplicity and space-saving format.Used for three months so far. Here is an analytical review so far. Short version: Thumbs up. Photo is pulling a lungo (or long black). GREAT crema, very creamy.- I bought beans I know I like (local roaster, medium roast)- I grind with a hand-cranked REI burr grinder set to a pretty fine grind (a bit finer than table salt).- The single-shot portafilter holds 9 grams of that coffee, packed.- A single shot is pretty much perfect, with lots of crema and not bitter- I made a long black by loading the single shot portafilter with coffee, then choosing a double shot on the machine (runs 2x water). Still decent crema.- I made an "Americano" by loading the single shot portafilter with coffee, then choosing a double shot on the machine (runs 2x water). I then ran the double shot cycle again (4x the water). So all brewed coffee, not just a shot with added hot water. It was still strong enough that I probably could have run the machine *again* on the single shot setting (5x water). Amazingly, still crema on top. A bit bitter. Better to brew only a double shot and add to hot water.- I made a double long black (also called a lungo) with different coffee ground a little coarser. I used the double-shot portafilter and ran the machine twice on the double-shot setting. Good crema, and tasty.- I don't normally froth milk, and I made a mess trying it, but it *did* froth the milk. Allow yourself some practice time, and don't cry over spilt milk, lol!The machine is a mix of plastic and metal. It looks better than expected, but I expect it will show wear fairly quickly. When I purchased the price was $99.98, but there was a $10 coupon, so $90. It works great for the price. Let's hope it lasts a few years. I'll give it another star if it doesn't break after three months. NOTE: Three month mark, and all is well. I just (today) got the first reminder to descale it.

Easy to use terrific crema
This is easy to use and clean up and gives a creamy frothy crema! Taste is wonderful both expresso & cappuccino since the steamer is powerful and consistent. The first time using steamer it put out a stream of water into the half & half watering it down, hopefully was a one time thing, after that it was just steam/air. (of course it would have helped to read the instructions first!)Price for this made it even better, for the cost of about 20 cups at coffee shop the sleek design but especially the great coffee taste made this a good purchase!

Good machine for the price
Bought this for my teenage daughter for Christmas. She was easily able to get it to make a variety of coffee drinks. (She had run one at work so I don't think she even cracked the manual.) It has functioned reliably for three months now with daily usage. My daughter's only complaint is that after you froth the milk, you have to wait a couple of minutes to make more coffee.

Don't buy. Tepid espresso, dead machine
The media could not be loaded. Died after 1 month of use. Espresso crema was good but the drink always came out tepid. I thought that was normal until I tried another espresso machine, and the temperature was actually hot. Reported it to the manufacturer, they responded once and after I sent them the video of what was happening, they stopped responding. Thankfully, I was able to return it. Don't buy. See video.

Great Espresso Machine
I have had a lot of espresso machines over the years & I specifically look for a lower price. I don't really need an $800 machine. The price was right on this machine & I decided to try it. It makes great espresso - much better than my very old machine. It is simple to use & even my husband can now make an espresso. The only problem I had was installing the filter the 1st time I used it. I had to have my husband actually turn it in place since I could not move it. There may be an easier way to insert it the first time, but it was easier for me to just have my husband do it. Since that 1st time, it has worked perfectly. Espresso is hot & very few grounds are left in the area where the filter is inserted. The water tank holds quite a bit & it is easy to fill. I would recommend this espresso machine - great price, great espresso.

I wanted to like this machine
I wanted to like this machine, but it doesn't measure up to my old steam espresso maker. Over the course of 3 days I tried all the possibilities: day 1 I made a double shot mocha, result was below par, but I figured it was a learning curve. Day 2 I made a quad mocha. It was too strong Goldilocks said, but managed to add enough milk and chocolate to make it drinkable, day 3: I made a triple shot mocha which according Goldilocks should have been just right, but it wasn't. I have this much to say about it, it is cool looking. It adds a Art Deco flare to my kitchen, and finally none of the cips were hot.

Easy to use and works well
I'm not a coffee snob, so if you're looking for reviews from people obsessed with perfect coffee, this is not that review. But I do like basic lattes. I've used this machine every day for a month to make a double shot of espresso (I use Cafe Bustelo) and steam some oat milk (Planet Oak Extra Creamy) to make a simple 12 oz latte. It's great at what it does. I do use a 51mm puck screen with it (Bligko brand here on Amazon). It does the job and hasn't given me any trouble. I like that I can remove the water tank to refill it and that it's fully clear so I can make sure it's clean. Since I use it every day for a double shot and to steam, the water doesn't stay in there long enough to get gross, but I just like knowing it's clean. The platform is removable to accomodate a taller cup (like a travel cup). If I had to nitpick, I'd say that it's kind of lightweight and can slide on the counter when you turn the portafilter into place if you don't use your other hand to steady it.

Overheats
Overheats every time milk frother used. Cannot brew until you run cold water through steamer... How long can this last if it overheats every time? Hassle...Brew seems to work OK if you don't need frother.
