Great Sound Quality in 2018 Nissan Titan!
I ordered this with the Alpine KTA-450 Amp and what a difference it made! I tried the W670 by itself first without the amp and then connected the amp and it made a BIG difference in sound quality and detail. I installed it in a 2018 Nissan Titan with upgraded Infinity speakers and a Subwoofer I got at AutoZone. I replaced a Kenwood unit so I already had the Maestro RR module to retain the steering wheel controls, so I just had to add one connector to it (supplied with the Maestro) and re-flash it. (The SW1 wire attaches to the wire on the Maestro's Blue connector. No other SW wires connect, not even the SWG -ground). I had to call Maestro support to get it right. The Speaker Level, EQ settings, and Time Correction features on this unit take it over the top. They allow you to get the sound dialed in how you like it. The ILX-W670 has better sound quality than the Kenwood DMX-8709S which did not play well with the Maestro RR module. Apple CarPlay connected immediately once I connected it with the right cord.If you use the KTA-450 amp, watch some videos on how to install the amp and how to configure the Crossover/4-Channel/RCA settings and it's pretty straightforward. I had to cut the speaker wire connection on the Maestro harness (Idatalink Maestro Acc-HU-ALP1) for the W670 and connect the speaker wires from the amp to the wires going to the speakers. Well worth the money. Gives SERIOUS punch and clarity to my system.

Great for android auto/apple car play
Installed this in my wifes 2007 Hyundai santa fe fit perfectly in the dash. Looks great and makes the car interior feel/look more modern, also installed backup camera which works great, only "issue" i have with the backup camera is after switching from reverse back to park or drive the music stops from any source EXCEPT the radio and i have to press play again, not a big deal just a minor annoyance (maybe its a safety thing).Android auto and apple car play both work fine without any lag or issues for me. Only thing i wish the unit had was station/song information displaying (RDS) when listening to the radio, but at this price point i cant complain. This replaced an old single din alpine (cde-154bt) and the sound quality is improved compared to that unit.Tips: Make Sure you use a high quality usb cable to connect your phone to this unit. I tried a few random usb cables i had and some of them did not work for android auto. There is a firmware update for this unit which you download from alpines website and put it on a usb drive then plug it in to the usb on the unit to do the update. I would recommend doing this first thing when you get the radio working.

Great radio over all but…
I bought this radio to replace my broken down Pioneer radio. The reason I gave it 1 star less is one of my big problems is the microphone. The volume is so low, no one can hear me. I used 2 different mics. One that came with it, and another one. Same results. I hope this can get fixed in a patch. So no phone calls at this time. For the positive side. The Radio Tuner is Super fast from switching from band to band. I can’t believe how fast this is.It comes with a small preamp built inside the radio gives you an extra boost.Tons of sound equalizing controls.CarPlay works as intended. The screen is a good resolution. Perfect for navigation. It’s a good radio for the money.

Nothing to complain about.
Had this a few years works great. Only thing is now it’s like 20% of the price I paid for it. Never going to waste 1k on a radio that will sell for 200 in 2 years. But this radio with my focal speaker and Rockford distaste amp sounds great.

Loving Alpine.
Great unit, plenty of adjustments, speedy! Touch screen is great. The part I don’t understand is why you need a GPS antenna without an internal Nav app, speed sensor input, parking brake input…..oh that’s right, all the lock outs for functions on the headunit while in motion.Either you purchase a 15.00 part to bypass or you don’t connect any of those and lose time, and get gnss antenna disconnected warning for a second that goes away when going into CarPlay or android auto, and everything works.

Double Din Alpine unit is Wonderful!!
Easy installation just be sure to add a trim kit to your order to fill in the side areas because in most instances you will have a 3/8” gap on either side. The radio performs really well, good reception and clarity on the audio. CarPlay works good as well.

Bad choice
The media could not be loaded. I have a few points to mention about the Alpine device I installed in my car. First, the quality of the LCD is much lower than what I expected from the Alpine brand. Second, I had much higher expectations for the sound quality, but using this device completely changed my opinion. It doesn’t deliver the bass sound at all or does so very poorly, making it feel like a very cheap multimedia device rather than the quality I expected from Alpine. Lastly, the handbrake wire wasn’t connected at all, and after a few days, the system went into a state where the reset menu and Bluetooth menu became inactive. This happens when the handbrake wire is activated, but no physical action was taken. It seems like the device switched to this state due to a software issue, and now I have a big hassle trying to contact the Alpine dealer and follow up on what to do. Overall, it’s a really bad option
