I have an Ikea mattress - they're pretty firm so mattress toppers are a must. My last mattress topper got thinner - as mattress toppers are prone to do - over the last two years, so I finally decided to get a new one. I was interested in this one because of the price and rating. Now that I have this topper, I can see why it's well liked. It arrived in a small zipped bag (photo attached), and I was dubious that I was shipped the right size (I ordered a queen topper). It turned out that the topper was just vacuum sealed - It was fun watching it inflate. I let the topper air out for a few hours while I was at work, and it was ultimately about 2 inches in thickness. I haven't felt it deflate yet, but will update if it does. Some mattress toppers, particularly the foam ones, have a chemical smell, but fortunately this one does not. Overall, this was a great buy!Update (April 8, 2018): I stained the mattress topper, so I applied a spot cleaner, threw it in the washer and dryer without bleach as noted, and it looked as good as new. The thickness is about the same as when I got it.
