S7 Smart Body Fat Weight Scale with Fitness App & Body Composition Monitor, 22 Indicators (Pearl White)

The app is now fully non-functional, it only says Server Error: Please Try Again Later Emails bounce and phone calls get an automated "goodbye" and hangs up. This scale is a great piece of hardware, functions exactly like it says. However the app is extremely unreliable, it will randomly refuse to connect with the scale for a few weeks and then work again for months. When I attempted to contact Phicomm I found that they have terminated their North America office and no-one seems to be answering any emails. The app also is lacking in a few basic features in my opinion, like ability to pick the graphs you want displayed but Phicomm doesn't seem to ever update it or respond to emails about it.

I have never thought about replacing my old body balance with the new smart scale until my girl friend hightlhly recommend it to me. In a nutshell, it's more than I expected. It looks beautiful. It's light weighted and well packed. It's designed for your convenience. It covers all the functions I desired. I'd like to share a personal story with your to show how helpful this smart scale is. I recently started my personal training class and my goal is to keep myself health and lean. I'm fairly short and traditional weight indicators such as normal weight range and BMI really give me hard time. My new employment healthy check gave me an idea to use use body fat percentage. So I set my goal as to reduce body fat from 22% to 20 %. The training was fairly light and I didn't know if I was on the right track. I tried many ways and learned from the internet. It seemed like measuring body fat is complicated and required special equipment and, even though, it wouldn't be as accurate as the water replacement method. I was frustrated until I found this. The body fat measured by the scale was exactly the same as what the company clinic and training center gave me. Then I tried more functions built in the scale and tried to control my diet, sleep, supplement cardio to achieve my goal. This scale is a great help. Now I know I'm on the right track. If you are looking for a good gift, improvement of life quality, control of your health, this is just a click away. I really like my scale and you as well deserve it.

Updated in January 2021 and set to one star. I was hoping that the scale would start to work again and they would fix the issue but after more than 6 months I am giving up on it. The app will just give you a "Please check your network connection". It's tempting to think there is something wrong with your Wifi. But I believe after a lot of troubleshooting it's actually looking for a Phicomm server to log in to the account you have to create to make it work. And that server is not reachable anymore. I bought this scale from a 3rd party seller here for just 30 Dollars. That's a great value for this type of body composition scale. There were problems with setting it up though. The instructions in the manual are not that clear. And then the app setup would just not work on my phone or my tablet. I tried many devices and the setup does not work on any Android device, the information for the Wifi are not communicated to the scale and the app times out while trying to establish the connection. Luckily I was able to finish the setup on an Ipad. After the setup is done, it's easy to connect a second or third device. So it's now working fine with my Android phone.

I've used this for about a month now and below are some of my points: Pros - 1. Handle bars give more details on fat distribution in legs torso and arms - the only other scale with this function (right now) are omron scales, but they don't connect to a phone app for data recording. 2. Syncs information to their proprietary app so no need for manual recording. 3. Presents 22 measures of body health. 4. The scale itself is reliable, light and easy to use. Cons - 1. The scale can only connect to the phone via a non-5G wifi network. Without a connection, the scale can only display the weight. I had to bust out an older wifi router in order to get my scale connected. 2. The scale actually sends the data to a cloud server where your app goes to fetch data to show you. I've had 2 weeks of no data and losing all my previous data (including profile) because of some problem where the app couldn't connect to the server despite me trying to re-download after deleting the app, using a different OS phone, using an iPad to log in. It just said "Server exception, try later" or "Data can't be read". 3. Customer service has so far not responded to my email (sent 10 days ago on Nov 13th, 2018). 4. Since the data are on a cloud server and read only by their proprietary app, the data is siloed and cannot be exported to other apps like iPhone Health, Google wearables etc. You cannot save the data on your phone, computer or anything else. The only way to get your data is to copy it by hand onto a piece of paper. 5. The app can only graph 3 of the measurements (if I remember right they're Weight, BMI and fat %), all the other measurements are only stored as entries so it's harder to see the trends. 6. The app's graphs are not adjusted to time scale. The gaps between data points are rigid. So if you took 3 readings in quick succession this morning and only 1 reading yesterday morning, the graph shows an equal gap between all 4 readings. This can be confusing as your progress isn't reflected on an accurate timescale. Having used it now for 4 weeks, if I was to buy a scale again, I would prioritze the data-connectivity to other apps, instead of number of measurements. Update 25 Nov 2018: - The app can connect back to the server now, but I had to recreate my whole profile and reconnect my app to the scale. - "Logging in" meant nothing as it had lost all my past data and profile information. - Still no email reply from customer service, not even to confirm receiving my email.

As a basic scale its just fine, but other in depth functions are just not accurate, unit is not easy to set up, customer service took 4 days to respond to issues, and clearly English was not a primary language in development of this scale, some of the terms just don't make since in everyday English. I do not recommend the scale for the price... similar scales for far less money with basic feartures that work .....

I would give this scale 5 stars, the build quality and the amount of body data it gives is impressive. The scale is very accurate compared to the scale I already use. No battery replacements required as this has rechargeable batteries. Things I would like to note is the scale fits me nicely (11.5 foot size) but if you have size 13 feet, your feet might be too big for the scale and part of your feet might hang out, it will still collect your data, but the scale is a bit on the smaller side. Second (why I knocked off 1 star) is the app integration with other apps like Fitbit or MyFitnessPal, I would expect a WiFi scale to have this but this doesn’t, which is a bummer, I do hope they update the app in the future. Third, make sure you are not on the 5ghz network on your phone when configuring the app, I did and it wouldn’t connect, once I changed it to 2.4ghz the install went smoothly. Overall an excellent body data scale if you don’t need to transfer your data to other apps, this is the way to go!

I am in training so I did a lot of research on these body composition scales and fully evaluated four scales total. This was the only one that I found to be truly accurate. (Comparing with doctor scale and high end In Body composition test results and adding know weights to scale). The Phicomm scale has the hand held component that more accurately measures upper body and the app provides a breakdown of right, left arms and leg and trunk weight and body fat percentage. It has a wider platform than most others giving it a solid feel when stepping on it. Some say it's hard to register and sync to Wi-Fi. I did not have this problem at all...following the instructions everything went smoothly for me. I added a second family member and the app has a cool QR code feature that syncs users together to simplify setup. One last thing I really like about this scale is that you don't need your phone when you get on the scale. After it takes your measurement it will send you a notification to your phone (notifications can be turned off if you don't want them) Then next time you open the Phicomm app the record is waiting for you to either claim or ignore. Don't freak out if scale tells you that you are in sub-health (horrible) shape. It's a good starting point and it will get better when you stick to a plan and this scale is a great tool to help you get there.

I’m very discouraged! I just received my scale and can’t even register the app to use it. For some reason it won’t sent a verification code. Without the app the scale is useless, all it reads it weight. If that’s all I wanted I’d go buy a $10 scale from my local supermarket. I tried to contact the seller but I can’t figure out how to do that! Tried to contact web developer and it’s all in Chinese. Contacted amazon they tried to fix it but that didn’t work. Looks like I will have to return it. Seriously disappointed. For an $80 scale I shouldn’t be having this kind of problem!!!!!

Die Waage selbst ist ausgezeichnet verarbeitet und sieht gut aus. Die Datenverbindung funktioniert, Daten können auch im Nachhinein abgeholt werden. Aber: Die App ist so schlecht übersetzt das es einem graust " Der Körperzustand ist nicht so gut. Sie befinden sich in einem fast normalem Zustand ". Damit könnte ja man Leben....dennoch kaufe ich so ein Produkt um Trends der erfassten und errechneten Messwerte über die Zeit zu vergleichen Trends werden nur bei 3 Werten angezeigt, sonst nicht.!!! - SOMIT UNBRAUCHBAR. Die Hotlinenummer funktioniert nicht, und die emailsupportadresse kommt retour. Upgrade Da Moden defekt musste ein neues installiert werden. App neu konfiguriert, Alle Verbindungen OK, Messungen werden übertragen, aber nur 1x Seither schaltet das Programm nach dem starten ab. Und ohne die App geht gar nichts. Keine Lust mehr mich zu Ärgern, Produkt geht zurück

Después de un año de pronto dejó de funcionar la app. Si no tienes la app la báscula no sirve de nada.

Schickes Teil, sehr gut verarbeitet, ABER: die App ist schlecht gemacht und teilweise Fehlerhaft . bsp: bei einem Gewicht von knapp 70kg wird mir ein Wassergehalt von 58% angezeigt und korrespondierend dazu 54kg Muskelmasse. Toll !! Hersteller reagiert nicht, App wird nicht gepflegt .

Die Waage ist, wenn sie im Netzwerk eingerichtet ist OK und macht was sie soll. Die Schwierigkeiten beginnen bei der Einrichtung und Verbindung mit dem WLAN: die Waage kann nur im 2,4 GHz Netz arbeiten und somit muss man seinen Router entweder einschränken um nur aauf 2,4 GHz zu funken oder einen zusätzlichen installieren. Das App ist sehr unübersichtlich und muss dringend nachgebessert werden. Obwohl das App viele verschiedene Werte einzeln je Messung anzeigt ist der Trend nur für das Gewicht, Körperfett und den BMI ersichtlich.

Die Waage ist zu diesem Preis einfach genial. Die Messwerte klingen für mich plausibel, außer vielleicht der Muskelmasse-Wert, der scheint sehr hoch zu sein. Die Einrichtung ist möglicherweise für Laien etwas zu kompliziert, aber die App hilft einem da gut durch. Das Funknetzproblem habe ich gelöst, in dem ich in meiner Fritzbox während der Einrichtung das 5 GHz Funknetz ausgeschaltet habe. Als die Waage verknüpft war, konnte ich es wieder anschalten. Es funktioniert seitdem fehlerlos. Die App macht auch keine Probleme. Bisher bin ich begeistert von diesem Produkt und habe es schon weiterempfohlen.
