Any action I try to take on any of the drives I have tried to format or image have always ended in failure. I have already requested an exchange so I'll see how that one works. If its the same I'll just have to use a different method that actually works.UPDATE: Second actually lets me write to the attached drive, but is so incredibly slow that it is useless for my needs of imaging the drive, as seen by the attachment. 6 MB write speeds are far below usb-C capabilities. The drive is a 970 EVO Plus, that I know is good as I can place it in PCI-E adapter and it works fine.
