How long before you began to see results?

It helped a little but a vet dental appt would have been better. Try brushing your next dog's teeth when it's a pup to get them used to it and do it every day.

Does this work the same as the original MaxiGuard Oral Cleansing Gel? No instructions, is it activated the same way with the small vial of vitamin C?

I've not used the original MaxiGuard Oral Cleansing Gel so I can't comment on that. The MaxiGuard OraZn does not require any vitamin C for activation. I just put a lil on my finger and rub it onto my dog's upper gums then a lil more on my finger and I do the lower gums, then I do the same thing on the other side of my dog's mouth. I have three dogs and they all get this treatment. The dogs even like having this done as they'll wait in line for their turn. MaxiGuard OraZn helps remove some of the tarter on my dog's teeth and keeps more tarter from forming. It even helps with their breath.

Is this added to pets water.?

Adding the product to the pet's water bowl is a very expensive way of delivering this product to your pet. Either by yourself with your pet in your lap or similar or with a helper, a few drops are placed on your finger, an applicator tip, or animal toothbrush and applied directly to the rear teeth and gums. The manufacturer does an excellent job of explaining the administration of the product to your pet.

Does this have a flavor? Do cats do okay with it?

Not suppose to have a flavor. I do not know about cats. Please ask your vet before using it on a cat.
