So useful to have 10 guage wire around
Probably cheaper ways to source 10 guage wire but not in this small quantity. Works great for high amp loads. High quality Very happy with this purchase.

Gauge not AWG: How to make the best of it
This is some good wire for a good price so no complaints but some observations. This is not quite 8 AWG. I notice in the description it uses gauge which is a more generic term and not quite as specific so, keep that in mind. Since I always oversize wire, I am not worried about 8 AWG vs 8 gauge. When I measured it it out, it's a BIT smaller than 8 AWG but bigger than 10 AWG so I imagine it's metric and it's coming in at just a hair over 3MM so that is basically just under 8 AWG in my book. Use accordingly. To make the best of mine I did the following:1. The jacket is good and doesn't snag or anything and fits tight. It's smooth and should work just fine outdoors but add some protectant to it if it's going to see direct sunlight. This will just help the jacket last a long time, protecting the wires inside.2. The wires inside also have thick insulation which is nice. It's a bit stiff but that comes with the territory. Be careful stripping them down with those automatic tools. Go slow.3. To strip the wire, start with the outer jacket. What I do, is rather than go at it with a razor blade or knife, I use a pair of shears and snip the end and then peel it back slowly by hand. This makes sure I don't damage the wire inside accidentally. If I get too much material, I just snip it away with the shears. I fold it back on itself and cut away excess. On the inner wires I use the good old fashioned razorblade spinner kind of stripper and just go slow. The automatic one I had wanted to snap through the wire because once it penetrated the rigid sheath it would have a tendency to cut too deep.At this price, it's a win.I hope this helps!

Exactly what I needed
Used this to make a cord for connecting my generator to the house.

Wiring
The wire that I got from Amazon was fine nice heavy duty wire but I didn't get enough I only could get a 40 ft so I needed a hundred foot so I just returned it and got a hundred foot roll so I didn't have to splice it three or four times

Great quality
This cable was exactly what I was looking for. The big box stores don't carry these type of cable, very flexible and high quality. I would buy again.

Perfect for my air compressor
DeWalt specifies a 10ga wire for hooking up their 5hp air compressor. This wire worked perfect!

Works Well
Seems like good, pure copper wire with quality rubber insulation, suitable for electrical use. It worked well for my purposes, and I didn't notice any voltage drop that would suggest inferior materials or a break in the wiring. The cable is quite thick and a bit stiff, due to the solid construction, so don't expect it to fold neatly around tight corners. Pretty good for the price if you know exactly what you're looking for, but don't try to use it without being sure of what you're doing.

Same good quality as the hardware store, at a better price
This is a standard 12/3 stranded copper wire. The quality of the wire appears to be very good, the sheath is in good shape and flexible. The price is better than what I'd pay at Home Depot, especially if there happens to be a coupon available on Amazon. I used this to create a 10ft 20A extension cord and have been testing it for the past few hours. No issues. I'd say this is a good purchase.

No issues, seems well made.
I got the 12 gauge wire and found it to be well made, flexible, the copper conductors were in good condition, not oxidized or anything. It has powder between the outer sheath and the individual conductors inside, which I imagine allows the conductors to move more easily inside when the cord is bent, for example. I made an extension cord out of it for outdoor use and it works well.
