Across the street in broad daylight, for instance. It's difficult to get it aligned just right over the phone lens. And the included tripod just can't handle the balance of a phone with the lens attached. Or even without. The tripos has so little adjustment as to be virtually useless. Set it up on a better trip0d, but was still unable to get a decent photo of the half moon in my night sky. But as I said...it does take a decent picture IF you can hold it steady.The tripod...biggest piece of junk. As soon as you get a little weight on it, the legs slide back in, so you really only have short little legs to use.
