Wow.. !
The media could not be loaded. I dont normally bother writing reviews but if you are considering buying this item, you wont regret it. You can pay about £500 for the philips Hue system or less than £100 for this ? its a no brainer.Easy to set up. App installed easily and the calibration of the camera was straightforward. The fitting of the corner pieces was easy and the led strip itself was fine but I did have to use some extra Command Strip stickers to ensure the 90 bend on the led srip stayed in place. I fitted teh camera at the bottom on the top of the unit in front of teh TV, so unlike the Govee this camera can be mounted top or bottomThere are loads of settings and colour options so its easy to tailor it to the type of lighting intensity you want. Response time is good with no real lag. In the video i attached the setting is Full 4D with that set to Vivid and the lighting intensity dialled back a little. I would recommend that the colour of teh wall behind teh TV is either white or at least a pale colour. My wall is a dark blue so the reflected white light tends to take on a slightly blue tinge. For the price this is pretty impressive bit of kit and well worth the money

Don’t go for the camera system. Choose an hdmi box instead
Not even close to the colours. No matter how you set it it will either get your tv rack colour to reproduce in the bottom or the wall colour on the top, also it has a huge delay, the light strip is IP67 making it heavy and hard to stay in place with the provided 3m adhesive on any textured tv back panel and impossible to make 90° curves using the provided curve brackets. The camera and holder are made of cheap flimsy plastic. Returned right away

Pretty good... but set-up could be easier
The media could not be loaded. Once set up the nanoleaf 4D Screen Mirror delivers an amazing experience with the right content, it does best with colourful and bright content (the space scenes in Interstellar for example delivered a sub-par experience, but other content such as fireworks and graphics deliver a good experience in 4D mode) but it can be a bit tricky to set up.I used the kit with a 65" TV and had to use the included corner guides due to the back of the TV being relatively flat, the kit works best with a TV that has a curve to its back because as mentioned in another review, the included corner guides can be a bit fiddly to deal with. On set up the controller in the kit crashed when setting up the corners (as it needs to know where the corners are to accurately set the LEDs) but otherwise set up was quite smooth. One thing the set-up guide doesn't mention (either in the included booklet or the app) is to remind you to remove the cap from the camera, as it's how the kit works (specific groups of pixels are monitored in the camera feed and the corresponding LEDs are set to the mean colour of those pixels). Removing the cap from the camera isn't an obvious step and there's no prompting to remove the cap during the calibration stage when setting the boundaries of the screen. The kit needs to be switched on/off manually, but given the camera is there a good feature to add would be to automatically turn the kit on and off with the TV (as the camera can be used to detect when the screen is on and then turn the kit on and off). For more advanced users, the kit can be connected to Home Assistant and paired with a sensor and an automation to turn the kit on and off automatically (i.e. turn the kit on when a smart power-monitoring plug reports an increased power draw for your TV).The kit can be controlled with your phone via an app and pairing is relatively seamless, and if you have other nanoleaf lights the kit can be extended to them in order to provide an even more immersive experience. Is this kit required for a good viewing experience? No, but it is cool and adds a "wow factor" when viewing content. As expected it requires a relatively dark room, but this is a given for lighting of this type.

Impressive product, changes the feel of the room
The Nanoleaf 4D is a very cool product, and most certainly for its value for money compared to its competitors. Stunning colours and features, gives the room a different feeling altogether. I love that the lights are customisable. No issues with performance so far. Sleek packaging. I already want to try out other products.Tip for anyone who buys the product - as someone who is new ish to the gadgets world, I would suggest using the YouTube video to help set up, online resources are really good.

Ok-ish
It’s okay, but not great. I replaced an older Govee T1 with this one and expected it to be better, but it wasn’t. I had to switch back to the old T1.Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. The colour accuracy is also quite bad. The camera is slow, and there’s a short delay between the image on the TV and the lights.

Useless
I've had the TV backlights about 6 months and they are useless. I was undecided between the Nanoleaf and Govee and went with the Nanoleaf after reading some reviews. What a regret that has been. It continuously disconnects from the internet even though a booster box is right next to it. The number of times I've had to delete and set the whole thing back up is ridiculous. When it does work then it doesn't sync with what's on the screen. I've watched all the set-up videos and followed them all step by step but the thing just fails to consistently work. The app isn't very user friendly and the whole system feels like you need to be an engineer to understand it, not the average everyday customer. Such a disappointment and waste of money.

great if you already have Nanoleaf lights.
worked remarkably well and is extremely responsive. I have a Philips LED Tv with the Ambilight built in on a different tv and there appears to be little to no difference in the response and function of these lights when used in 4D function.I didn't want to use the bracket above the tv so my camera for this is set below the TV. it did take a few times to set up to work as I wanted to but the help videos provided in the App are informative and helpful to get this to the best set up.as an added bonus, I also have other Nanoleaf Shapes above and around my tv and this now opens up these to sync and work just as well with the 4D lights as a fully immersive system.
