I always say that Hitler didn't invent Nazism as much as Nazism invented Hitler. This series provides rare footage to illustrate the factors that came into play as a defeated nation responded to the events of history to lift itself up with aspirations of world domination. Following the narrative account of the war itself is like watching a train wreck take place in slow motion. You see the things that went well for the Nazis and the things that went wrong, realizing how a little change here or there might have altered the outcome of the war.
