In the photo keep in mind when I put these in they were in a straight line (like a mohawk) as you can see they didn’t stay that way (2) after 30 mins of heating the ready light on the roller never turned on. I finally decided to just use them. They were definitely too hot at that point and anywhere they were near the scalp it burned and I had to place a tissue under the roller. (3) after leaving them in until they completely cooled, I got nothing - no volume, no curl. (4) there is no where to store the clips with the rollers. Anyone found anything suitable to hold the rollers in your hair?** A: I have tried every trick everyone has suggested for how to use the clips, but the rollers still fall out. I think it has more to do with the length of your hair than how you put the clips in. I watched a You Tuber with long hair use these rollers, and she had no trouble with the clips holding the rollers in. But when I did the exact same thing she did, the rollers fell right back off. **Q: Does the box have to be unplugged before using? or can i pick them out of the box even while it is plugged? i cannot find an answer to this?** A: I have never unplugged the box before using the rollers. I don't unplug the box until after I have put all the rollers in my hair. These rollers are great, by the way. They give me just the curl I want. If you find that the plastic roller holders (included with the rollers) crimp your hair then I suggest using wire roller holders with them because the wire holders don't crimp your hair. You can get the wire holders on Amazon. The brand name is Sun's Out. Of course, get the wire holders for 2" rollers. I got two packs of them because some of the rollers need two wire holders to stay in place. **Q: my hair is shoulder length are these rolls to big?** A: I gave my sister a set for her birthday. Her hair is shoulder length and thin. They work for her very well and she was so appreciative of the gift. They add volume to her hair and her hair looks great; no curls, just soft waves. Hair products have a lot to do with it. We use a small amount of Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Hydrocream Whip right before setting our hair. After we let the rollers out, we do not disturb hair for a few minutes (per roller directions). Then, we treat with a small amount of Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil. So frustrating to use - don’t get these! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've been waiting so long for someone to make hot rollers this large *by V***A on February 28, 2014* These rollers are perfect for me. I have long hair, past my shoulder blades, with slight layering and long bangs. My hair is curly, but not kinky and it gets frizzy/poofy with humidity. It's thick, but only b/c I have lots of fine hair. I can wear it curly or straight. (People think that sounds heavenly, but it can be a curse with humidity, especially when I want it straight.) In the summer I let it air dry, but usually have to dry and curl it in the winter and when it's chilly outside. I love hot rollers for the ease of them, but until I found this set, they have always been too small for me. Since my hair curls really easily, I end up with too tight of curls with smaller rollers, even the 1 1/4" rollers that some would consider big. Through the years, every time I saw hot rollers with a bit bigger roller, I would buy them. Most of the time I would end up using my large barrel curling iron to get a softer curl. I'm am so happy with these. I just got them and I've used them three times so far. Once with slightly damp hair and the other two times on dry hair. My hair came out fuller when it was 100% dry first. The curls I get are soft, more like waves. I couldn't be happier, exactly what I wanted, a bit more body than what the curling iron gave me. If you're looking for curly hair with these, then get a different set with smaller rollers. If your hair is fine and straighter, I would imagine that these would do nothing for you. Straight/fine hair would probably slip right off of these rollers. If you're looking to soften your curl like I was, then get these! I use all eight, four on top and four on the bottom. I'm not a huge fan of the clips, but they do work for most of the rolls. The last roller closer to my forehead, flips forward b/c the clip doesn't hold it in place, so I hold it there for a few seconds. That is for my bangs, so I don't mind a little less curl with those and do that one last. I tried the clips from my other roller set, but they didn't work. I cut my hair curling time in half with hot rollers b/c you roll each one and by the time you get to the last one, you're ready to take off the first one. Not like a curling iron b/c you have to hold it on each spot before you move to the next. I use a little bit of aniti-frizz gel and I have body all day with these. So glad someone FINALLY made a hot roller this big!
