I have waited 5 months to leave a review. I wanted to make sure that all the bad reviews I read here were real or false. I have degenerative disc disease so I couldn't sleep in my bed with my husband anymore. I was sleeping in a recliner in the living room. I sell on eBay so I had an eBay room. With much discussion with my husband, we cleaned out my eBay room got me a hospital bed off of Facebook Marketplace and I finally ordered this mattress topper. Now it is important to tell you that I spent months researching mattress toppers. I read the good reviews and the bad. If I saw a common thread in the bad reviews then I didn't even think about going with that topper. Then I saw the video that Arzante posted with his 5-star review. I took a second look at this topper again. It was now at the top of my list. I received the topper a few days before my room was ready. So I was able to lay it out for a few days prior to sleeping on it. One thing I saw in several reviews on a lot of toppers was that there was a horrible chemical smell. Mine had no odor at all. That was the first thing I did when we got it opened was to take a big sniff and I didn't smell anything bad.I am a woman in my early 50s and I have horrible hot flashes. I also weigh over 250 pounds. I think it is important for you to know this for the second part of my review. I have read a lot of reviews complaining of the foam making them hot during the night or the foam flattened when used. This is why I wanted to wait 5 months to leave my review. I wanted to make sure I gave YOU accurate information. August in Iowa is unpleasant to begin with, but when you throw hot flashes into the mix it can be downright miserable. My wonderful husband put in a ceiling fan and a window air conditioner in my room. Along with an atomic clock that tells me the temperature in the room and what it is outside. I didn't have much trouble with being hot when sleeping with the topper. I was even using cotton sheets. Now it is Winter in Iowa. There are a few things I have figured out during my 5 months with my topper. Tencel or bamboo sheets are a must-have for those who run hot when they sleep. After the window air conditioner was taken out I did start waking up hot and had to uncover for a while. I am still using the ceiling fan and it helps. This is where the atomic clock comes in. I have also closed the vent in my room to our boiler so I get very little heat in my room. I prefer to go to bed when my room is at around 65 degrees. At times I wake up and my room is 71 - 73 degrees. Most days it is 69 degrees. With a room that cool and bamboo sheets I get chilled when I go to bed, but within minutes I am warmed up and perfectly comfortable.These are some of the things that I do to make sure my foam topper stays in good condition. At least once a month we strip the bed and flip the topper and make sure that what was at my feet is now at my head and the top is now the bottom. The topper is inspected for creases, rips, or tears. I have yet to find one. We also switch the hospital mattress from foot to head and vice versa. One of the things I was worried about using a foam topper was using an adjustable hospital bed. My head and feet are raised. What is this doing to the foam topper? Nothing. It is perfectly fine. This is important to know. When you wash the padded mattress cover DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER!!! Let it air dry. We read the instructions and dried it on low and it seems to have shrunk a little bit. In width not in length. It is about an inch narrower on both sides now. This isn't a huge deal, I don't sleep on the edge of the bed. Also, twin XL sheets are not going to fit perfectly on this bed. We got straps that make the sheets tighter. Deep pocket sheets are not your friend with a hospital bed.This is my take on this topper. It is comfortable. I do feel like I am being cradled when sleeping. I don't move much in my sleep as it is a twin bed and when it is adjusted it is hard to sleep on your side unless you flatten the bed more. My back and hip pain has diminished. It will never go away fully, but I don't have to wrap a heating pad around my lower back for an hour after getting up just to be able to move. This is not a firm topper, nor is it is super soft. I guess for me I am Goldilocks and I found the one that is just right. At the end of the day, it is about your preference. This is perfect for me and if I ever need to replace this topper I will be buying this same one again.

The media could not be loaded. I wasn’t sure this was going to work for me, but I tried it. It arrived in a pretty large box, but it wasn’t too heavy to move up stairs, it was pretty easy to unpack and lay out on the bed. I definitely let it lay out for at least 24 hours maybe even 36 if I can remember right. The foam part inflated a little bit after it was put on, then the white topping seemed a bit baggy, but it was ok because it fit great over my deep mattress with the topper. I am overall impressed. It’s extremely comfortable. It’s like sleeping in a cloud! It helps my nerve pain in my legs. I am just curious as to how long the foam with hold up. Overall it was a great price for the king size mattress topper, and I will hopefully be buying another one for another bed that we own.12/3/24—Update—— so weirdly enough I wrote this review above right when I put the mattress topper on my bed in August 2024 and was pretty much obsessed with it but now here we are not even six months later I think it’s actually been four months and every time I lay on the mattress topper it’s sunken in where I lay, I do expect it to happen but my back pain is back so clearly this is not working anymore, but it was good while it lasted I guess . I have rotated it two times since I put it on and it still sunken in an enough toCause me back discomfort. Unfortunately I will not be keeping it that long.

I spent hours reading reviews of several different mattress toppers, and I ended up choosing this one because more people were happy overall, and there were fewer complaints about odor. When I opened the box, I was concerned that I got fake foam because it didn't match the photo on Amazon, so I sent photos to ViscoSoft support and they assured me that it was legit and that some of their factories use different colors. When I used the QR code to register (and get 2 extra years of warranty!) and watch the set-up video, it showed the exact foam and packaging that I received.Upon opening the foam, I was immediately relieved that the odor was minimal. If you've recently painted a room with a good quality latex paint, you can smell the fresh paint, but it's not a bad smell like the paint from years ago. Well, that's exactly what this smelled like. I set it up on a table in the garage to open up, and I thought I'd leave it there overnight to air out, but when I checked 4 hours later it had fully taken shape and the smell was so minimal I decided to put it on the bed. Carrying it upstairs wasn't so easy, so opening it up on the bed itself would have saved me that step. It was a full queen size -- not too short like some of the other brands I read about. The cover was easy to put on -- it is also compressed in the package, but it fluffs out as well. No odor, and the material is very soft. It completely covers the top and sides of the foam.And finally, I could get on, and YES! It was a whole new bed! It was perfect! It's supportive but soft. It holds my body, but takes away the pressure points. There is minimal sinking -- I can easily change position, and I'm comfortable in any position. My neck is so happy because the pillows even seem different being on a softer, more supportive surface. I slept well and didn't have to keep shifting positions because of painful pressure points. I love it!

I researched toppers for side sleepers as this is how I sleep. The topper received a high rating, and the rating was from a highly regarded organization. Bottom line, I am 100% satisfied with the purchase. My bed has never been so comfortable. My back and hip pain is gone. I bought the 4" topper as suggested and this was good advice. The mattress cover is made of quality material. I was impressed! I had no issues putting it together myself and I live alone. The packaging and delivery of the product was spot on. For me this purchase was more than expected. I hate leaving my bed in the morning! Highly Recommend!
