I use this mic with a powered Subwoofer on kick drum with great success.
Well made, rugged, inexpensive and works GREAT with my kick drum & powered Sub Live. IMO you’ll be disappointed with ANY kick drum Mic if you don’t have a decent Sub & you are using a PA System lacking in the Bass frequencies. I also like how the front is FLAT, so it can be placed CLOSE, about an inch away from the drum head for maximum THUMP. Surprisingly, it does not distort at all, even at full velocity. The mic also comes with a rubber isolation ring as part of the mount, so no worries about vibration or rattling. Works for me. ROCK ON ;)

Great Harmonica Mic!
I bought this to try as a harmonica mic. I love it! I removed the mic holder for a mic stand so it would fit in my hand better. It is easily removable and can be reinstalled at any time.It is all-metal construction. The flat, wide top works great for harmonica. The dynamic range, to my ears, sounds great for harmonica. For $35, it is a great alternative the to the $100+ specialized harmonica mics.

Gets it done! poor build quality
My initial review is below, but sadly I had to downgrade my review as the mic flat out broke after only about 3 months. It may be better to pay a little more to get something that lasts.Produces a good quality recording for my kick drum. No distortion and punchy. As far as I am concerned I don't need the nuanced quality of a more expensive mic as I am going to process/eq the signal anyways and this mic does a perfectly adequate job. It seems solidly built too. Totally worth the money.

Not bad, but not nearly enough low end
This isn’t a bad sounding dynamic, it does not have a bright top which may be a relief to some, but the bass starts rolling off too strongly at 150Hz to be used as advertised. It might work on rack toms (though it’s too heavy for clips) but it’s too thin for floor toms and certainly kicks and bass cabs. It is also somewhat susceptible to RF hum in certain orientations due to the single coil element. Otherwise well built.I’m returning it as I don’t see an obvious role for it here.

Amazing Value for a Decent Kick Drum Mic
I wouldn't use this mic for vocals but it works great for drums. The size and the price sold me on it, and I ordered one for my kick drum. It comes with a nice rubber mount, but you may want to pick up one of those really short mic stands. Highly recommend this for the price. I'm not sure what more I'd get if I paid three times as much for the Shure version of their kick drum mic.

Maybe mine is defective, but....
this mic sounds terrible in for uses. After HEAVY processing, I'm able to get a somewhat decent sound, whereas other kick mics in the same drum sound great with little eq'ing. This mic is completely useless to me

A GREAT floor tom mic
Not good for kick. But I knew that.I bought it for a floor tom mic.Really good for that application. With proper mic placement , great sound and isolation from bleed.DM-70's on snare and rack toms , DM-80 on floor tom(s).Can't go wrong. It's the most inexpensive mics I own , and my favorites. LoL.

works well
I use this to Mic up my hand drum when playing out at local venues. It seems to work just fine. I'm sure there's more precise and quality mics out there for studio recording, but this is plenty fine for my needs of playing for a live crowd for fun.
