The hose itself does not have cam lock couplings. They have both hose barb by male thread and hose barb by female thread fittings. The female fitting end has 'ears or knobs' like a fire hose. The material is super strong. I use at a sewer plants where the hose, I deal with 3 or 4 inch hoses, can handle temperatures 10 below Fahrenheit all the way up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit plus. I used this hose as my skimmer hose from the skimmer basket to the filter pump on my above ground pool. And I also used a length of hose from the chlorinator back to the return fitting on my above ground pool. I also used polypropylene cam-lock coupling with disconnects and schedule 40 cpvc ball valves for added ease of operation. Worth the money. It will make a world of difference. Use stainless steel hose clamps on the barbed fittings where it goes into the hose. You will notice a big difference. Been running my pool like this for a solid month and not one single leak. Always use Teflon tape on every threaded male pipe fitting as well. Worth the money. Do not spend anymore money on "Cheap" flexible, crushproof hose. The UV resistance on them stink. I went through 4 cheap-o hoses that lasted not even a month even that showed splits and cracks. UV resistant is minimal as well. The Kanaflex hose has much better UV resistance and can handle any bit of weather that you may come in contact with.The male threaded end is made of aluminum with Band-It Hose Clamps. The female end is made of Brass Female Quick Discharge Threaded ends with Band-It Hose Clamps. IT IS NOT CAM AND GROOVE, QUICK DISCONNECT FITTINGS. DON'T BE FOOLED. Where you would have a Male and Female Adapter couplings with "Quick Disconnect" fittings or "Ears" on the female. Zoom in carefully at the picture. These are not true Cam and Groove Quck-Disconnect Couplings.See McMaster Carr for further details as to how they look.
