Good add to extend windshield
I have a cheap windshield on my motorcycle, and it isn't tall enough to block the wind which caused helmet buffeting. I bought this (almost as much as the windshield itself) and assembled and installed it fairly easy. It is adjustable (up and down) and helps cure the buffeting alot. The only thing it's thick and distorts your riding vision if you try to look through it. Beats buying a $500 windshield, hoping to solve the buffeting issue. Make sure you clean your windshield and wipe any residue off with rubbing alcohol. Then install it. Check it every few rides for tightness. It doesn't like dirt roads cause it'll move on you.Edit. Aug 3,2023 The rubber tabs that hold the extension to the primary windshield started to loosen. I took the extension apart and applied some E6000 glue to all the rubber tab adhesive sides and put it back on the plastic grips that create the compression. I also put some on the front side of the rubber tab. made thicker for better grabbing power (I think the rubber tabs are too thin to begin). After everything was dry, reassembled, and placed back on my primary windshield I haven't had an issue since. E6000 is more like strong silicone and doesn't dry hard. So more grip on the primary windshield. I've even repaired my riding boots and saddlebags with E6000. It dries clear, is flexible, and very strong.

Very Flimsy
I have been using two of these deflectors on different motorcycles and they do help with wind management - until they break. I can almost guarantee that you will have problems with it, especially if you occasionally make adjustments to it. The device is a series of skimpy plastic parts that are held together and adjusted by using two screws that both thread into the skimpy plastic parts. Therein lies the fatal flaw of this design. The screws that screw into the little plastic jaws that hold the assembly to the top of the windshield have held so far but the screws that thread into the delicate clamps that hold the deflector shield itself have both quickly pulled out of the plastic into which they thread. These screws allow you adjust the deflector shield, to slide it up or down and to change the angle of the deflector. They are very short and easily pull out of the plastic. It caused me to lose the hardware and therefore the use of one of my deflectors. When the same thing happened to the surviving deflector assembly, I drilled through the side of the clamps into which the short screws thread and replaced those tiny short screws with longer screws that thread all the way through the receiving side of the little plastic clamp. It looks a little suspect but it seems to be holding for now and allowing some loosening/tightening to adjust the deflector. This is a a cheap product. A friend recently purchased a Puig version of the same thing and it is light-years ahead of this thing both in terms of design and quality but at a much higher price. You often get what you pay for.

Budget windshield extender - could be better
I bought this to put on my Triumph Tiger 660 Puig screen and have had some issues with it. Firstly, the extender isn't anywhere near as optically clear as the windscreen is, so you end up with distortions/fish eye lens when looking through it (it was difficult to take a picture showing this). If I have the windshield in the lowest setting, it's not a big deal since I can look over it. However, when I bring the windshield up to its highest setting, it puts the extender right in my line of sight and the distortion drives me nuts and reduces visibility. The other issue I have with it is that it tends to pop in and out of place while I'm riding. So for example, maybe I have it at more of a 45 degree angle (the extension is adjustable up/down), it might decide to pop into a 90 degree angle while I'm on the freeway. I attribute this to the cogs/gears that control this being plastic as is the tracks they fit into on the extension itself. I've resorted to putting some hot glue into the channels to help keep it in place. It's not really worth sending back, so I'm making it work for now.
