I bought these because I needed a bigger bear bag and wanted something lighter than my heavy old PVC one. Also thought they might make decent water resistant stuff sacks for boat trips. The price is very low so I didn’t expect much but these are actually excellent. They are slightly heavier than some of my other stuff sacks, but they are still very light and actually genuinely legitimately waterproof. I poured a gallon (3.78L) of water into the 5L bag to test it and was blown away that it is watertight, and actually will hold more than 5L clearly. It has been hanging all day and no sign of water permeating the material or seams. Very happy and 100% will trust these as dry bags. Highly recommended.

These bags are standard in size, shape, and functionality for a dry sack. Unfortunately, the material is thinner, much thinner, than I am u sed to or expected. Maybe materials have improved and the thickness of the material has no impact on the usability or life of the bags - time will tell. Because of the thin material, I would not trust them in harsh, rugged conditions, or for storing essential, potentially lifesaving gear or electronics that have no water resistance. For the price they are great family outings and non-essential gear.

Should work well for backpacking.

I am sure I am not the only one that wakes up on the last day of the camping trip and is ready to throw everything in the truck and hightail it towards home for a shower and a burger. These two bags were just what I needed to stuff everything away quickly. I would have to take time once home to sort out and clean things, but that would still have been the case if I had packed and organized things neatly. I did not get a chance to get out on the water, so I have not been able to confirm that these work well as dry bags. They are sturdy and the roll top opening make it clear it can serve that purpose. I also like the two sizes since i am sure there will be trips when I do not need the bigger of the two bags.

These are good size bags for vacation. Good quality material. Strong buckles. Easy to operate.

Lightweight bags, perfect for travel or camping. However, they are not waterproof. Upon inspection, I can see pinholes where light can permeate through the bag, and thus water can permeate from these areas. Despite water Resistant, it is not waterproof. In fact, the description instructs you not to submerge the bag. A true dry bag is able to withstand submersion, say in case the bag falls off a canoe for instance.Additionally, the bag material is not rugged by any means. Light abrasions was all that was needed to create more holes, thus compromising the water resistance even further.
