Better than the Philips vacuum trimmer!
I had been using a Philips BT7500 vacuum trimmer for the past five years, but since two have failed and are now discontinued, I decided to try this Remington trimmer. The main reason I didn't go for this trimmer before is that there's no mention of it cutting shorter than 2mm, and I needed something that cuts to at least 0.5mm, like the Philips. Well, I'm pleased to see that the bare blade cuts to around 0.3 to 0.4mm, which is excellent. The suction of the vacuum is also better than the Philips. You can feel the suction on your face when using it, and there's no evidence of hair in the sink. The quality of this trimmer seems similar to the Philips, but the zippered case is superior to the drawstring pouch included with the Philips. I use this in combination with the excellent Philips OneBlade. The OneBlade provides a clean and close shave allowing you to trim and shape stubble, so you don't need a wet razor. Overall, I'm impressed with this Remington trimmer and highly recommend it.

Excellent vacuum
I have owned two Philips vacuum shavers in the past but the Remington is the most effective. Unfortunately, the trim level guard, whilst accurate, isn’t particularly strong and flexes as you cut. This is fine for me as I don’t use it, but might cause problems for anyone needing a longer trim. I particularly like it because I can do a whole head trim without needing to take a shower afterwards as the vacuum is so effective. Good battery life so far.

Not as 'premium' looking as my last one. But it works well.
I've had one of these Remington Vacuum Trimmers for years. My last one survived for many years, but eventually needed replacing. This latest model works just as well. It's such a shame that Remington have gone for the silly lime green colour on the vacuum section. It makes the trimmer seem rather juvenile when compared to the last model, and the rest of their product lines. If you are concerned that the vacuum feature is a gimmick, it is not. If you use this trimmer regularly, you can trim your beard, and even use the trimmer as hair clippers, as the vacuum is strong enough to retail hair trimming while inverted. You just need to remember to empty the vacuum chamber regularly. If you try and do a more significant cut/trim in one go, you will overload the vacuum chamber, to the point where clippings will fall out when you invert the trimmer. But stick to that one simple rule, and you can keep your hair and beard trimmed without a clipping in sight. The only thing I do not like, is where the vacuum exhaust is. It's right where you would naturally want to hold the trimmer while using it as hair clippers. But my previous Remington was the same, so I am used to passing it from hand-to-hand, to avoid covering the exhaust port. There is something quite satisfying about leaving the bathroom, with a trimmed beard and hair, without needing to brush hair from either yourself or the bathroom floor. Recommended.

Does a great job
Best beard trimmer I’ve used

Hair thinning combs are cheaper, work better on longer hair. Probably better for pre-shower routine
Don't expect it to work on long hair beards. Also, it only catches MOST hair. Back to the cheap hair thinning comb then use this every few days/once a week...so exactly what I did pre-beard. Defeating the point of having a beard in the first place. At least battery technology is better, now

Saves the need of cleaning up after a shave
Works really well and easily collects at least 95% of hair thats shaved. Would of given it 5 stars but trimming the hair above my top lip is awkward to the point that you have to take the length guard off to finish my shave due to the fact it’s too bulky with the length guard attached Doesn’t create too much of a problem as long as you have a steady hand when shaving under your nose/above top lip

NOT a stubble trimmer.
This should not be described as a stubble trimmer. The lowest setting does not cut short enough. Useless.

Great Device!
These clippers are excellent - I especially wanted some with a vacuum-collection chamber, to minimise mess everywhere when I trim my beard. These do the job admirably - and the unexpected bonus of an interchangeable, finer trimming-head makes it a lot more versatile in use! I’m very pleased with these!
