Loved it so much - fine for a beginner
The media could not be loaded. This was my wife's first book nook ever! She was so afraid of it being too intricate for it being her first one, but it was really straightforward and easy to assemble. It took her about a week of working on it every night for a few hours. Everyone loves it now that it's finished and loves the detailing. It has now become her new hobby lol 🤪Getting the lighting wires to go where they belong, she would say, was the hardest part. The books can be quite tedious, or really anything involving paper cutting. Buy super tiny but sharp scissors! It did not come with glue, she bought Aileen's clear gel tacky glue. Worked pretty well. She also purchased a tool kit separately, and the things she found useful from it were the box cutter, tweezers, and filer. You will definitely need to sand each piece down but don't do it too much, or it will lose its color and not match the rest of the piece. Use the glue excessively instead of sparingly. The only con is that the light turns off after about 15-20 seconds, and she can't figure out how to get it back on. It's supposed to be motion-detected, but this is likely a user error on our part. Also, the little button in the front looks a bit incomplete.

Loved this project, touch light doesn't work
This was my second book nook. It was tedious and took a long time, but much quicker than the first time I did it (over the course of a week about 8-10 hours), but I loved the project and happy with the results. I have bad arthritis in my hands so it took me a while to do everything, but I really enjoy the final product. I used gorilla glue gel as the adhesive. Used about a half of the bottle. The light touch pad doesn't work at all for me, so not sure what that's about but it didn't work on my first one either. So turning it on is a pain when it is actually in among books

Faulty Sensor
Our sensor never worked from the get-go. We installed it correctly and with care to not overcharge or short any of the circuitry. Bypassed the whole thing and now its only on manually when friends are over. Fun to build and looks great!

Well made
This product is very well made. The wood is printed with the pictures unlike others products that I had to cut, and glue the pictures to the wood. It's also very sturdy and will last a long time unlike the other I purchased. I hope I can find more from this company since they make a better product.

Fantastic Kit
This is the first book nook I ever built. I've built many now and this is still a favorite. Excellent quality materials. Clear instructions. My husband ended up stealing this for his study because he loved the aesthetic. Lights turn on by motion sensor which I don't love. I prefer to be able to turn on/off. 2 AA batteries last a couple days when left on. Overall very satisfied with this nook.

Pretty - a bit difficult to put together
This is a super honest review:Pros -It’s gorgeousIt was fun to put togetherIt was relatively easyOnly took me about 5 hours and it’s my second time building one of theseCons-The outer boards are a bit warpedThe touch sensor doesn’t work (or I’m too dumb to figure out how it’s supposed to)It only took 5 hours to buildIt’s a bit hard to get the pieces out without cracking them. This probably could be fixed with an exacto knife or something.Overall -I’d buy it again. It was very satisfying to finish. The main thing I didn’t like is it didn’t take me long enough! Boards probably could be fixed. Things could probably line up a little better. I think they probably measured it down to an exact and didn’t leave any wiggle room for error. I did really enjoy putting it together though and, once completely dried, it’ll look really nice on my bookshelf.

AWFUL
Awful quality product. The wood is poorly cut and snaps so easily. The designs that are advertised are not accurate at all. I want my money back.

SOOO FUN!!!
I Had such a fun time assembling this with my sister. At first we were a little intimidated by the amount of parts and steps, but we managed & it was actually fun! When we got lost in some step, the instructions led us to a video tutorial that was helpful (although in Chinese). All in all, the entire process took a little under 8 hours. The wood parts were well-made. The details placed into this little house were wonderful. Placed it in my bookshelf in between books and it looked really cute! Excellent & fun project!!
