Tighten the legs first while cross member is in place then adjust cross member and screw in. Fabric is microfiber and looks good, wood is sprayed stained and is really not bad. Overall not bad and true to the pictures. I believe this will hold up to moderate use with moderate care. I don't believe it'll hold up to day in and day out family use with kids at least with the finish being sprayed thin and cloth seats imo unless preventative measures are taken. Don't let that steer you clear of this set it's really pretty good for the price just not meant for daily hard use as most build yourself furniture is not meant for that.
