I purchased this book to read to my class of Year Six children and they were fascinated and moved by it. It led to further discussion about the major events of the last seventy years and how life has changed. The book is a joy to read and the illustrations are beautiful. I would definitely recommend.

I bought one of these books for a six year old. The story of the Queen's life with beautiful illustrations. Everything was in there from her childhood and the corgis, when she first became Queen, her love of horses, and the years in between leading to the Christmas speech to the Nation. A truly lovely book. So pleased with it that I bought another 2 for different children. They loved it. A very nice memento indeed.

I appreciate the sentiment of the book, but too many of the illustrations were a touch disappointing. This is purely subjective, of course, and I see many reviewers really like the artwork. The photo is a poor snapshot of a whole page, and shadow from the gutter intrudes.

Beautifully written - even more poignant since the recent death of Her Majesty the Queen.Just the right amount of text, this book tells the story of the life of Elizabeth. The illustrations are lovely too.Our children in school have enjoyed sharing the book this week as we remember the Queen.
