Mrs. Peanuckle's Vegetable Alphabet (Mrs. Peanuckle's Alphabet)

Not exactly thrilled with this book. I had the “Bird Alphabet” book from the same series and so I ordered the fruit and vegetable ones also. The vegetable has 4 confusing pages and 2 that are just vague without a specified veggie. I have included pictures of all of these pages. The 4 confusing pages are “Queen bee” (not a vegetable), “Underground” (which isn’t too bad, but still not a vegetable), “Exactly Zero” (seriously?!), and “Tomato” (which is also in the fruit book). The 2 that are vague are “Vegetable” and “Squash”, but they don’t bother me too much. At least they are on topic. I am looking at these books from the standpoint of my 2 year old. We don’t usually read the words at the bottom, we just focus on the letter and matching fruit/veggie. For an older child they might work better, but for a younger child they are confusing.

My toddler absolutely loves Mrs Peanuckle’s fruit alphabet, so we decided to try this one. It was also a hit! What I love is that it gives a lot of not-as-common foods that she can get excited about. The little tidbits of info are super interesting and will probably mean that we get to keep this book in her shelf for a while.

The Mrs Peanuckle’s Alphabet Books are Amazing!I have purchased the Bird Alphabet Book, the Bug, Flower, Fruit and Vegetable Alphabet Books for my grandson, Jack.Jack has just turned 27 months old and is obsessed with them.He can’t wait for one of use to sit down with him, so that he can read them to us over and over again.Pure delight!So please with my purchases.

My 2 year old is obsessed with this series- they are all hits with him but the fruit one is his favorite. We stick to reading the letters by the sound they make instead of the name of the letter. It’s been helpful for him learning to read. I would recommend getting them all in this series and read them every day to your child. Artwork is gorgeous too, a great bonus.

My friend's 4 year old daughter loves vegetables. This book was perfect for her. The illustrations are really cute, and it's a nice board book for her and her 1 year old sister. She likes to read the book to her little sister and point out the vegetables and the letters. It's adorable. We've bought other books in this series as well, and they're high quality and really cute.

Mrs Peanuckle books are amazing!!!! We have fruits and veggie alphabet books. Waiting for the news coming this spring! I really want a flowers alphabet for my daughter.

Fantastic book! Highly recommend the purchase. Bold bright colors and well illustrated. I was so thrilled with it I purchase two more copies to give as baby shower presents.

Pictures are bright and colorful. Teaches ABC with a new and unique way. Perfect companion for some toy gardening tools.

One of my two year old son's very favourite books, he's been enjoying it since he was 18 months. It's a great introduction to the alphabet and learning more interesting and a variety of vegetables.

This book is one of our favourite ways to make vegetables fun and exciting for our toddler. He loves to point out all the veggies at the market, and is almost always a good sport about trying new things. Also one of our favourite books to give as a gift!

Lovely illustrations, informative but not too wordy. Perfect for ages 2-6
