Well machined and fits elegantly.I didn't have to use the safety screws since my tripod base has a built in safety stud. For those who are unfamiliar, this replaces the tripod plate and is permanently screwed in to the base (Instead of the tripod plate) and provides both landscape and portrait orientations. (Google more on why you need an L bracket, it's one of the best accessories to buy). Also remember, this would only work on tripods that have a swiss arca plate.
