Also, one side of the tweezer seems to be cooler than the other...making it very frustrating to get the component off the board. **Q: Is this unit compatible with Hakko type-T tips?** A: If you mean the Hakko T-18 tips they might fit over the ceramic element but if they dont have enough tip length to form a curve they might not close enough to touch tips when the tweezers are closed. The Hakko T-15 tips are cartridge style and will not fit at all. **Q: Are the spare tips, and the extra heating element , which shown on the picture are part of the package?** A: Yes **Q: are the "tweezer tips" replaceable?** A: Save your money for a good tweezer iron.
