Pretty Nice For A Low Cost Rod
I picked this up to use for finesse fishing with my Kayak. The relatively shorter 6' length works well for the limited space. This is the first 2-piece I have had that didn't split in the middle of the rod. I like the placement of the split since it allows for a more even flex across the range of the rod.The construction seems to be pretty well done and the eyelets are smooth and abrasion free. The metal collars for the reel mount add to the durability of the rod and it seems like it will hold up for a good long time. The case that came with the rod seems a little unnecessary since most people don't take a 2-piece apart for storage. I think most, are like me, where once it is assembled, you put it to use or on a rack. Even those that just pile them in a corner seldom take it apart once assembled.Aesthetically, this is a pretty good looking rod. The colors remind me of my St. Croix Mojo rods. I do wish the handle was just a bit shorter to make it easier to manage on the kayak. When wearing a PFD, the longer handle can get hung up sometimes when moving from side to side.In all, I really have no complaints about this 2-piece rod and would recommend it to others looking for an economic rod to keep as an emergency spare, light jigging, or for a beginner.

Nice rod... kind of odd looking though
When I first got this rod, I wasn't sure what to think. It is a 2 piece rod and comes with a nice storage bag when broken down.I paired it with a 2500 series reel and 12 pound braided line.It casts beautifully. The rod tip is definitely not light...certainly more of a medium to medium/heavy. This works out great though as I use it for poppers and other jigging baits. The odd part of it is that the lower part of the rod (the part under the reel) is extraordinarily long... about twice as long as normal spinning rods. I'm sure that's why it's called a "jigging rod" although I'd never heard of that term before.Nonetheless, it is a solid rod and has caught me several bass so far.
