5 star excellent keeps shaver very clean

After having ordered this cleaner for my new Philips i9000 Prestige Ultra shaver I noticed that the product description asserts this is not compatible with that model of shaver. However, fortunately it seems to work fine although I see Philips have an alternative version available that looks slightly different, having a chrome bezel.

It’s nice and compacted and good that it doesn’t need electric to clean then shaver like my previous Braun shaver, just put into the holder and switch on the shaver and 1 minute later your shaver is cleaned. The first couple of uses the solution froths slightly over the head of the shaver. Good value for money

this item doesn;’t have a specific functionality it just cleans your shaver…..

Although the description of this item states it is compatible with the S5000 series of shavers, it in fact only works with some of this series. I have taken the matter up with Philips, who have informed me that this is the case and my S5550 shaver is incompatible with this product. Hopefully Amazon will take up this problem with Philips and ensure the product is correctly described in future. Meantime, Amazon have agreed to take the item back and to credit me with the full purchase price.

Really impressive. I bought this as the razor I bought a couple of months ago was beginning to smell a little bit stale, after just using water to wash it. This leaves it with a really nice smell and feeling very clean. It's a simple process, turning the razor upside down and popping it into the inverted hole section. There is a small protruding area on the cleaning section, that finds its way into the very small hole on your series 5000 razor, so effectively what it is doing is recognizing that you're putting it into a cleaning mode. Then you just turn on the razor and it goes into cleaning mode for about a minute and it's as simple as that. Very pleased with the purchase.

As a newbie to electric shavers, I didn’t give much thought to the cleaning regime required when I purchased the shaver. During the first week or two, I simply cleaned under a tap, but then I started developing spots of my face.Read a few reviews and got this. I still clean under a tap first with soap, and follow up with this. Spots have gone and it’s a lovely smell as well.It’s supposed to lubricate the blades to stay sharp. Not sure how I can test that, but I’ve no issues with performance so far after 3 months.The actual mechanism to clean the shaver is simple to use and acts as a stand. As others have mentioned, the liquid not sealed in any way, so you need to take care when moving.The refills seem a tad expensive for what it is, but it all works well.

THE CLEANING POD IS VERY GOOD, ONLY TAKES 6O SECONDS TO GIVE IT ITS WEEKLY DEEP CLEANSE- WELL WORTH THE MONEY AND GLAD I GOT IT.
