I am so pleased with it and a really really good price for such quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A lovely thing *by P***E on 8 January 2025* I'm a huge Prince fan, and over the years I've built up quite a collection of books about the man, as well as well over a hundred records. Some of the books have been great, others not so, and the thought of yet another book about Purple Rain wasn't really enthusing, but this one is a lovely thing. First impressions are that it's big - about the size of an LP - but not too thick, and comes in a slipcase. The case is covered in a purple fuzzy felt type material. It's a bit of a novelty, and to be honest when I received my copy I carefully cut the cellophane where the book slides into the case and left the plastic wrapping on the cover as I was concerned that it may rub off over time, mark other books next to it, and so on. The book itself is a hardback, and is lavishly illustrated. Unlike other books, many of the pictures here were new to me, and there are lots of pictures of concert tickets, backstage passes, advertisements, and press articles. Each chapter in the book deals with a different subject, such as Prince's career before "Purple Rain", The Revolution, the first side of the album, the second side of the album, the movie, the tour, other tracks recorded in that era (B-sides, released vault tracks), and the legacy of the album.
