Stylish and sturdy.
The operative word must be "well" as its well protectively packaged, well designed for tool free assembly and well strong! Doddle to assemble and the version I picked had adjustable feet to level it up if required. It's smart enough for household use if you choose the wheeled version perhaps as a kitchen/dining room trolley or will hold substantial shelf weight for utility room or shed storage. So pleased with my first one I reordered straight away and am now wondering where else they might be useful arround the house. In summary it's well made, everyone fits where it should and it looks smart a clear recommendation and hats of to Amazon as its from their great value basic range which so far has always exceeded my expectations.

No tools at all required.
These are excellent sturdy shelving units. I was asked to make some shelves in the airing cupboard for towels and duvet covers etc. I didn’t want fixed shelves as our boiler is behind so wanted easy removal for access. I opted for this one as we already had a small chest in there and the footprint of this one fitted perfectly, also the depth is deeper than others advertised. Assembly is easy with good instructions provided and it comes very well packaged. By the time I had bought timber and my time this purchase has worked out to be great value. The legs have adjustable feet for levelling and the shelves slip over plastic brackets that work on a taper so the more weight the stronger it gets. Best of all no tools are required.

Great item but might be upside down
This is a great idea, should only take a couple of minutes to build, lots of shelf position options, but After raffling about for nearly an hour I asked my neighbour for help, and they pointed out the shelves I had received had the connection holes the wrong way around. The kit comes with; 3 x shelves 8 X legs ( 4 with feet attached) 24 connector parts ( to make 12 connectors) 4 X circular blanks ( to go on top of the holes of the last shelf - this only works if your last shelf is on the very top top of the leg) The shelves have holes in the corners. These holes are tapered - smaller on one side, larger on the other. The legs are straight. The legs have marked sections. You clip two halves of a clip ( "top" written at the top) onto the legs at the section you choose . You then push the leg and clip into the tapered hole in the shelf. It goes in both ways but will only click into place in one direction. Sadly the holes on the shelves I received were reversed, which means it will only go in with the shelves pointing down, so the lip of the shelves is underneath not on top. We tried, you cannot flip the leg over because of the feet, you cannot put the connectors on the top and slide in from the top - this goes work, but as soon as you put any pressure on the shelves, let alone any weight, they fall off because the system relies on the tapered shape to lock in the shelf, and if it is the other way around, down is up, and if you push down the shelf comes off and slides down the leg. This dibble makes more sense if you have the connectors in front of you, promise. Once we realised this, the shelves clicked into place in seconds. Easy. It feels sturdy, and is now full of goodies in the larder.

Very impressed
Nice and easy to put together - very sturdy. Holds a decent amount of weight whilst being lightweight itself. If you can afford if, buy this instead of the plastic versions on offer- I've had multiple of the plastic ones over the years and they break over time - this metal unit seems very sturdy and well built and will be better value for money long term This also has 4 adjustable feet which is perfect as I have this at the side of my tumble dryer in my garage where the floor is not perfect

Stability and price cost quality
The shelves are easy to put together, there's a bit of trickery with the clamps :) But its all good figured it out in 5 min, not really needed instructions as the whole layout makes sense. However, they do help if this is your first project. I put one together in 1/2 hour (next one will be a breeze) and they look stable, overall smart and tidy. Easy to move and very sturdy and good quality. The layout of the shelf can be changed if needed, so future-proofing in mind. It honestly is value for money.

The best of this kind of storage unit.
These storage units are phenomenal in my opinion. They look good for what they are, if they look good in a living room or a storage room is down to personal preference, but the functionality is amazing. They are sturdy, easy to put together and are not ugly. I bought another brand wheeled storage unit before this, and it was so weak and badly designed in comparison to this one. This one was only £5 more at the time of purchase. Do not hesitate, if this is the type of storage unit you want, forget all the others and get this one. In response to some of the negative reviews about the clips not fitting properly. I agree they do not go all the way around the bar, but they sit inside of the holes in the shelves as the shelves go over the bars/legs. once pushed down evenly they sit snugly over these clips and the shelf is them secured and wont move.

READ THIS FOR HOW TO ASSEMBLE THIS @#=£&% THING!
Right. I'm here to save your sanity. I hope you're reading this early in your Assembly Journey, because if not, you are probably reading it from an A&E bed having blown your blood pressure through the roof. Five minutes in I was cross. Fifteen minutes in, pretty miffed (I am, after all, British). 45 and I was ready to smash it to smithereens. The first mistake is to start, as instructed, with two little black clippy things. You try to clip them round the leg, as instructed. They don't fit! They don't meet! Occasionally they make a seductive little "click!" and your heart leaps! Until you realise that was YOUR side clicking and the other side has now unclipped. Cue gnashing of teeth. You repeat this, hoping those two clips were a manufacturing anomaly, on all the legs, getting progressively more livid. They aren't. They're all crap. You need Another Way. Don't do any of this. Read on instead. First thing - look at one of the shelves. At each corner, there is a metal tube. This tube is your friend. Not only does it fit over the pole but (something you'll only discover after an hour of gnashing and wailing) it FITS OVER THE CRAPPY CLIPPY THINGS! HA! If you know this, you'll also realise that the 1mm - 2mm gap where the crappy clippy thing doesn't meet its partner DOESN'T MATTER. Got it? This is important. If you don't know this the whole thing will go in the bin before you've got a shelf on. Hang on to this. It'll keep you sane. Right. 2. Grab two clippy things. You'll be momentarily convinced there are two types. There aren't. You've got one upside down. Make sure they are both the correct way up (with "top" pointing up). Put one of the crappy clippy things on to the pole and (this is CRUCIAL) make sure the little ridge inside the clippy thing is sitting into a groove on the leg. This ensures the crappy clippy things will only NOT meet by 2mm rather than, say, at all. Now clip the other side of the crappy clippy thing into the first one. Have you made sure they're both pointing up? Both fitting into the leg groove? Good, then you're fine. They won't meet. This DOESN'T MATTER. Do this at the same height on the four legs. Grab a shelf and lay it on the floor with its surface-that-will-have-things-on-it is facing a wall. Pokey a leg through a corner tube, right through until your first clip gets to the tube. In it goes! Snug as a bug and (this was my eureka moment) holding the crappy clippy thing pair together so they can't boing apart. Ha! Repeat, poking the other three legs through and then stand it up. Feel marginally smug. Put four more clips on, wherever you want your second shelf. Again, make sure the ridge and the groove are together, and make sure both have "top" facing up. When you have all four on, grab another shelf and GENTLY lower it down over the four poles. You may want help here - you want to get each corner tube at least a few mm over each crappy clip so they can't ping off. Once all are slightly covered, go right ahead and bang that shelf down hard so all the clips are covered. Boom. Repeat for the third one. Have a nice glass of icy Sauvignon and admire your work. You did not have a stress-related coronary. You've won. As a side note: did anyone else get seduced by social media images of one of those over the sink drainer jobbies? I did. Then discovered they are between £50 and £80. Ha! Hahaha! No. I looked at all manner of wire shelves (Google "Elfa") but, with wall bars etc, couldn't get them cheap enough (I've done the leg work for you. Don't bother. Everything else is more expensive). Then I found this. Fits the useless end bit of my work surface perfectly. The shelves are wire, so the dish water drains through. AND (bonus smuggery buggery points here) my plates, saucers and the dog bowls all slot into the shelf wires like they were made for them. BUHAHA HAHA. I have reserved a chrome cutlery drainer at Dunelm Mill (£3. £7 on here) and intend to attach it with S hooks to the shelf edge. I'm also going to screw the whole lot to the wall because I made some teeny weeny errors in measurement and one light sneeze and this whole shooting match is going sideways onto the tiled floor. But that's not Amazon's fault, it's mine. So, I have a fabulous, three tier drainer for £25. My plates etc fit perfectly and it all drains onto a tea towel. No longer am I washing stuff up and trying to jam the clean stuff amongst the filthy stuff on the teeny weeny drainer. This thing is perfect. And cheap. And sturdy (once you get the hang of it). My blood pressure has returned to normal and I have icy wine to drink and smug staring to do. Good luck, brave assemblers. You can do this. I believe in you.

Excellent shelving unit
I just don’t understand the poor reviews of this item - maybe other people were unlucky and got faulty items, but I can’t praise this highly enough. I found it really simple to put together - the hardest part was deciding how far apart I wanted the shelves to be, as they truly are adjustable every couple of inches. Once assembled (which took me all of 15 minutes, on my own, and I’m a 67 year-old female!) it is really sturdy and looks great. I wanted it for my greenhouse, as I will have trays and trays of seedlings come Spring, but as the greenhouse was full of tomato plants when it arrived, I assembled it and left it outside in the garden. It was there for a couple of months until I cleared out the greenhouse, and hasn’t been affected by the weather at all - no sign of rust etc. I carried it into the greenhouse without it collapsing or any of the shelves moving. The floor of my greenhouse is uneven so the adjustable feet were a godsend - 10 minutes with the spirit level and it’s level front-to-back and side-to-side. The slatted shelves are perfect for pots of cuttings and overwintering plants, as they let the air circulate. I’m very tempted to buy another one early next year if I get carried away with this growing lark! Can’t recommend it highly enough, and it’s smart enough to be really useful indoors too. UPDATE - it has survived the winter in the unheated greenhouse brilliantly and all my plants are still alive. I’m so pleased with it that I’ve just ordered two of the smaller 3 shelf ones, which will sit nicely under my potting shelf and hold all the seeds I’m getting ready to sow. Then the units will go outside for the summer and hold strawberry plants in grow bags. I definitely think I’ll get my money’s worth!
