Great bottle - but don’t take the ads literally!
I love this bottle. It’s a huge step up from my Brita filter bottle, being much better designed for long-term use and much more versatile.I’m a long-standing lifestraw fan because I hike and I cannot express how wonderful it is not to have to carry a whole weekend’s water or to use those awful purification tablets. This bottle is also a step up from the previous version, with a fully-sealed cap that allows me to put it in my bike cage on a splattery day without worrying the drinking valve will get dirty.I also particularly love the simple silicone valve that screws into the inner cap - MUCH better than the plastic Brita one, which quickly gets chipped and gunky - and it’s easy to remove and wash with a pipe brush. Two minor points to note:- while getting the dust cap on and off is easy, because of the large handle, getting the top of the bottle unscrewed for refilling is a challenge. It really needs grips or something; it’s just too smooth. It’s also easy to over-tighten it by screwing it on via the handle (which doesn’t work for unscrewing!). Best solution is a slightly damp hand, but people with less grip strength will have trouble.- the marketing videos all show people drinking from the bottle tilted up, as if it’s a gravity-valve. This will only get the filter clogged with air. To drink from it, keep the bottle vertical and drink it like from a straw.

Great bottle
Great bottle and very substantial size. No idea whether worth the money (it was pretty pricey) but used it throughout a 3 week trip around India and none of our party of 3 fell ill.

Great little water bottle
Really love this water bottle it’s saved me spending so much on bottled water I’ve knocked a star off though as sadly it’s hard to get the drink out but kind of understandable as it’s filtering but a bit annoying when your really thirsty and need a big drink.

Great for trekking
The size (1L) was perfect for trekking and having enough water for the day or until you can find a water source.I used to use potabilizing tablets, but after few days of drinking treated water, I always got an upset stomach. From now on, this bottle will be coming with me on every adventure.Several times I have refilled the bottle with lake/river water that did not look in great condition (sediments, small bugs, algae...) and not once got sick or the water tasted off.I researched for days to try to find the best option for this kind of devices and finally decided to give a go to this one, and during my recent trip to Nepal, I found out that about 50% of the people trekking was using this same brand, on different models (lifestraw, CamelBak with lifestraw, etc.).It is true that you have to apply some pressure when sucking for the water to come out, but it is minimal and does not affect your experience. The filters are easy to remove, clean and replace, and all the materials are of high quality.Unintentionally I dropped the bottle couple times from quite a height, and other than some superficial scratches, nothing got damaged.I recommend 100% this item to all my fellow travelers.

Great bottle for travelling
Used this for the Everest Base Camp trip and in India, and it was great with no problems at all. Is it hard to drink from? No, not at all, considering the filters the water must pass through. Great purchase, and you're also contributing to less plastic.

Great addition to a day hike.
I bought a 2 pack one for me and one for my Ooward (my husband). We only use the one between us so we have a spare for later when this filter is finished. They are very sturdy made. They are really great to use and it does save carrying bottles on your walk as we never know how many to take for day hikes plus the weight of them all. This is quite heavy even when empty due to the water in the filter BUT it’s still a great item and I’d definitely recommend it b

Excellent bottle. Water as good as bottled spring water.
Excellent water bottle. Bought this for my daughter who was travelling in Asia. Good flow rate. Very nice taste, even out filtered water at home tasted better through this filter. Had a small issue but Lifestraw were excellent at resolving. Great customer service. Happy daughter.

Strong Suction Required to Drink - Doesn't Pour
Used for a few weeks now. Fairly hard to suck the water out of the spout and it certainly doesn't pour out. As a filter, it has certainly removed chlorine smell and odd taste from water.
