When I ordered this product, it was a bit pricey for a 1 lb container, so I was glad to see the price dropped, making this salt a better value. The salt is a great flavor enhancer and in nice sized smaller granules. My container also held some pieces of dark non-salt debris, appearing to be wood and/or stone, maybe shell particulates from nuts? The darker pieces float in water, the red pieces sank. They are big enough that I can pick them out, but still a bit unnerving having unknown contaminants.

This Pride of India- Himalayan White Salt Fine Grind 1 lbs comes in a small plastic tub. There are 2 sides to the shaker top. One with holes, and one that is large and open, and there is a seal covering that for freshness.Immediately upon looking at my salt, I saw there were large pieces of dark stuff mixed throughout. As I shook it, I saw more pieces emerge. I have no idea what it is as the only ingredient listed on this is salt. They aren't small either, they are larger than the salt grains by a decent amount. It kind of looks like wood chips.

Himalayan salt is an ancient deposit of salt from Millions of years ago (The Khewra salt mine also called Mayo Salt is the world's second-largest salt mine, located in Khewra, Punjab, Pakistan). You use a lot less salt than sea salt, as I discovered in my first attempt to use it. The Himalayan salt is so different but so much better and healthier. I love that I am getting the extra minerals I need to increase my healthy lifestyle. Simply, Pure, and Natural. It deserves 4.5 ⭐️Stars. I hope you find this review and video/pictures helpful. It is fine and ready to sprinkle on your foods. This isn't the type you need to grind up and is all ready to go. This is a bigger container of table salt that you could pour in a salt shaker or use from its existing container as there are two sides accessible with one for sprinkling and the other for larger amounts. The only thing is the sprinkle side has pretty big holes so you might get more than you need. I work with Himalayan salt all the time for different things, and I was excited to add this in my kitchen since I'm about out of my other stuff. I feel confident about the high quality ingredients since not all salt is the same.

I usually use pink himalayan salt, but this is a great substitute. It has a decently fine texture so you can use it when cooking or as a finishing salt. The flavor is very nice and I enjoy it. You get a lot in the bottle as well and there was no little rocks like I have had in other salts that I have bought. Overall, I find this a good value for a good quality salt.

If you just want to fill up your salt shaker that doesn’t have a grinder on it, this is a fantastic salt to use. It has a nice clean salty taste and it is a white Himalayan salt. This is also great to use in cooking as well. Nice large 1 pound jug of salt

Review of Pride of India- Himalayan White Salt Fine Grind 1 lbs (453.59 gm)- Rarest & Enriched W/84+ Natural Minerals- Low Sodium- Mineral Rich Nutrition and Enhanced Taste- Healthier Table Salt Substitute- Gluten-Free, Vegan, Cholesterol Free sold by Pride Of India Inc.I received this product which appeared to be a grind slightly greater than what I would consider to be “fine” and the salt grain seems to be perhaps 5 or 10 times larger than common table salt sold in U.S.The product description clearly states that iodine is not added so this is a non-iodized salt.I attached a jpg of the unopened salt container showing some of the dark materials in the salt. These dark particles shift a lot with the salt so there are times when many dark particles can be seen and occasionally the salt blocks all or nearly all of the dark particles. To me they almost look like small flecks of bark but that is through the container as I have yet to open this.Not knowing what the dark particles are I am discarding the product as I do not want to be exposed to the unidentified contaminate. Return is impracticable.

I don’t know anything more important to tell you than there were multiple pieces of unidentifiable bits of debris inside the container mixed with the salt! The foreign objects were clearly visible through the clear container! As I turned the container around in my hand, the salt moved and it was clear even more debris was mixed into the salt. Yuck!Otherwise, this is a non-iodized salt. You’ll need your necessary nutrient iodine from another source. 1 lb of salt sounded like a large amount, but when it arrived, it realized it’s a smaller amount than you get when you buy the navy blue container with the girl in the rain as a logo. That salt is less than a couple bucks. This salt is almost twenty!All in all this was a bad experience and I would not order this product again.
