The cube is machined to perfection, with smooth edges and a flawless finish, allowing it to stand out in any collection or display. Handling it is a unique experience due to its extreme weight relative to its small size. It's a fantastic conversation starter and a must-have for anyone interested in material sciences or elements. In terms of practicality, this tungsten cube is perfect for lab experiments or demonstrations. The high density of tungsten provides a tangible way to explore the properties of elements, and the cube is durable enough to withstand repeated handling. It’s not just a great teaching tool, but also a fascinating object to keep on your desk or in your collection. The compact size makes it easy to store or display, and its weight always impresses when you hand it to someone for the first time. Solid, Quality, NEW Element Collection!
My desire to acquire every cube has grown as a result of purchasing the most affordable one they offer! Being an individual who finds the distinct features of several aspects fascinating, it's an excellent starting point to build a collection that will look fantastic on your shelf or desk. These cubes provide your loved ones with an experience truly unique. More are on the way, after receiving the Carbon 1 Inch Cube, I recently bought the Titanium 1 Inch Cube and others for my sanity. These cubes are excellent for collectors, educators, and enthusiasts alike because of their immediately noticeable flawlessly machined edges, design, and immaculate lazer engraved finish. Whether used as a teaching tool or for demonstrations, the craftsmanship is immediately evident. One of the most intriguing aspects is their size-to-weight ratio, which makes them ideal for hands-on experiments and demonstrations. Holding one in your hand offers a sense of the cube’s durability and heft, especially surprising for its compact size. Great for casual use as an ADHD-friendly fidget toy, as they offer tactile stimulation and a sleek industrial feel that feels premium. Overall, whether you’re adding this to a collection, using it in an educational setting, or simply keeping it on your desk or shelf as a unique and functional object, all of these cubes deliver in both form and function.

Nice execution
It doesn’t actually DO anything but it’s a nice addition to my element cube set. It’s attractive, pleasingly heavy, clearly labeled and very smooth to the touch and makes a great desk toy.

Amazing product
The looks and feel is great. Heavy duty. Was surprised to know how heavy it packed in a little metal. Fascinating. I use it on top of papers on notebooks for weight.

It's a cube of tungsten! What more can I say?
I got this as a gift for a friend to have sitting on their desk. I was thinking of spelling out their name, but some of the elements wouldn't have been so easy to get... The etching on this cube looked great and was an awesome kind of novelty gift. I will say, the corners can be a little sharp, so that's why I am taking a star off. I also have no way of verifying that it is the purity that is claimed, but I can say that it's surprisingly heavy, as expected.

It's a dense cube
The dimensions came to 1.0051" x 1.0050" x 1.0053" (room temperature) with a mass of 319.9g when I measured them. I'm fairly confident in the calipers and the scale I used. The calculated density came out to 19.22g/cm³, which is a hair under 19.25g/cm³ (the theoretical density), probably due to some of the imperfections on the corners. I haven't hit it with an XRF (yet), but it's probably (nearly) pure tungsten. I can't imagine it would be very economical to use an alloy with something like plutonium or gold.

Fantastic value, solid quality.
Good cube, great price. Pros: Spot on machining. - Two sides are 1.001, one is 1.0025. Presumably actually 99.95% tungsten. - I wouldn't trust the accuracy of my scale (it was 5 bucks), so I can't do accurate calculations, but it's certainly over 99% which is plenty. When I purchased, it was $55, the next cheapest on Amazon was $99. Massive bargain. Cons: One tiny machining mark - see top left corner near the 74. Not an issue for me. Packaging isn't great, it was vacuumed sealed, bubble wrapped, and put in a brittle plastic box. Box came cracked, loose inside amazing bubble mailer. If you want a gift-ready cube in nice packaging with a stand, get a different one, but it'll be $45 more for a tiny 3d printed stand and a cardboard box with better foam. Personal preference : This one doesn't have rounded edges/corners like a lot of the others. If you like that, awesome, if not, 10 minutes with some high grit (I used 1500) sandpaper will take those off on about 5-10 minutes. I like that I was able to choose just a slight rounding, so that's a pro for me. You might be able to sand off the engravings as well if you don't like them, they're just deep enough it'd be a hassle, but not a hurculean effort and wouldn't take off too much cube. Overall, if this is what you're looking for, it's absolutely worth it.

The accuracy to which the cube is machined is perfect. Right on the dot at 1.500 inches, maybe 0.0001 - 0.0002 inches oversized. At this resolution, simply holding the cube in your hand for a few minutes and warming it up will change the dimensions. Weight is 1062 grams on my kitchen scale. Obviously my kitchen scale doesn't have a NIST-traceable calibration, and I don't mind that it's slightly overweight. The flimsy, thin plastic storage box that it came in was completely destroyed in shipping. Dear manufacturer / seller: if you're reading this, please include a much sturdier box, or none at all. It's simply a waste of resources (i.e. my money) to use the one you currently do. The price... Well, it's certainly much cheaper than some other identical offerings here on Amazon, and I looked thoroughly, both here and off-site. This was the best deal I could get, but I still have buyer's remorse. It's a lot of money for a cube that sits on your desk and does nothing, especially considering the bulk price of tungsten is about $30/kg.

My kids are getting into chemistry and love to listen to metal. What better gift than heavy metal? Highly recommended, much safer and less expensive than more dense metals such as Plutonium (toxic to human health, radioactive) or Iridium (1 cubic centimetre costs over $10,000). It is sitting in a place of honour on the shelf in our toy room. Warning: Do not drop on the floor. It is heavy and WILL leave marks.
