I really had high hopes for this extra monitor extension for my laptop when I work from home. Here are the things that I like about this monitor: 1. Clear and crisp colors (after initial setup) 2. Great folding design for compact storage 3. Comes with carrying case when not in use or for travel. 4. Major boost to work productivity due to multiple screens. Now for the not so good: 1. Needs better instruction manual for initial setup based on laptop ports. It was confusing and I only managed to figure it out after some trial and error with the various cords and ports. The instructions didn’t make it clear that if you use the #1 port on one side , then you must use the #2 port on the other monitor. 2. After everything is properly hooked up, there are too many wires everywhere that makes the setup feel clunky and unwieldy. 3. Extra monitors generate extra heat. I had to place a small desk fan nearby to keep the system cool. I believe that this extra monitor setup is extremely useful and works really well. The material feels like it is made with good quality and the design is thoughtful. However, based on the above negatives, I would hope that they would improve the setup and configuration of the cords. Wireless would be better. With all that being said, I think that you can make it work if you need additional monitors for your laptop right now. If you are not in a hurry, then I would recommend waiting until they can improve the setup.
