Very sticky
The paper is strong with good adhesion

Not very sticky. Comes loose really easily.
I bought this with the aim of being more environmentally friendly. Unfortunately it really isn't sticky enough to safely seal parcels. You stick it down and then when you look a couple of hours later the edges have come away from the parcel. I'm using loads of it and then double sticking it with sellotape. Wouldn't recommend.

Eco-Friendly and Effective, but with a Small Quirk
I recently started using the DIY Doctor Paper Packing Tape, and overall, it has been a solid choice for my packing needs.Pros:This tape is a great eco-friendly option, which is important to me.It sticks well to the boxes I use, providing a secure seal. The tape is easy to cut or rip, making the packing process quicker and more convenient. The roll comes with a nice amount of tape, offering good value for the price.Cons:The only downside I’ve noticed is that the tape doesn’t stick well to itself. This can be a bit frustrating when trying to overlap or secure the end of the tape.Overall Recommendation: Despite the issue with sticking to itself, this tape is a reliable and eco-conscious option for packing. It’s effective, easy to use, and offers good value. I would recommend it if you’re looking for an environmentally friendly alternative.

So glad I bought this tape!
In the past 8 months, I've relocated twice. Initially, I opted for traditional "packing tape," the shiny, filmy brown kind, requiring multiple passes over the top and bottom seams to ensure sturdiness. It was prone to sticking to itself, especially when I reached for my cutting tool or used my teeth (resulting in hair entanglement!). However, for my subsequent move, despite reservations about the cost, I chose a tape with favorable reviews. The investment proved worthwhile—this tape allows easy tearing from the roll, boasts exceptional adhesion to cardboard boxes, and requires only one strip for sealing the top and bottom. While I hope not to move again for a considerable time, this tape has become my preferred choice for future relocations

Does not stick
Really wish I'd read the reviews before buying this. Was in a hurry and needed some more tape and this came up too of the list. It is awful, does not stick, especially to itself. Where I have tried to stick the end down to itself I have resorted to using sellotape to hold it. Used on a brown paper square parcel and the edges of the tape have lefted all the way around. Now have three rolls of this that I don't know what to do with and have gone back and bought the brand I previously used which is far far better. Don't be put off by this brand into thinking paper, eco-friendly tape is all bad, it's not I have used lots of other brands which have been brilliant for many years. This particular brand is just not fit for purpose

Far better than plastic tape
I strongly dislike the plastic shipping tape because it consistently sticks to the roll, requiring a dispenser or scissors for cutting. In contrast, this tearable tape can be easily ripped by hand, eliminating the need for a dispenser. Despite taping heavy boxes, it has never let me down. Additionally, it offers the convenience of being writable.

Good value
Prefer to use the paper version but doesn’t always stick well so need to use more than the plastic version
