This went on my 1989 FJ62. Had highbeams that didn’t work, found broken/pinched wires next to the connector. Fairly easy replacement, remove steering wheel cover, remove center nut, mark steering wheel position (unless you like a steering wheel that is not centered), remove steering wheel (have heard this was a pain, mine was not), 4 screws removed, remove plastic column covers (if not already done), open up a clamp, remove a few screws and disconnect old. When installing I was not able to get the plastic snap cover to close as the bundle is bigger and wires are not spaced out like the old one. So that guy is just open under the plastic column covers. Then all you gotta do is the reverse order. Easy peasy. Might sound like a lot but it was pretty easy. This added a wiper setting that the old one didn’t have, which is push up for one wiper swipe. And now my high beams work, hurray.
