Full disclosure: I ordered these having selected the wrong option and thought that I was ordering 600mm versions - which I think would have been fair for the price.These are OK overall, I like the slide mechanism on these as quick and sturdy adjustment. The actual clamping surfaces are quite small (compared to my other 300 x 85 clamps).I think that these are expensive though, as above I thought I had ordered 600mm versions and the price seemed ok for those.I will stick to my normal Rutlands ones that work out around £7 per clamp and they are much heavier weight that these ones.

The bar , clamps jaws , threaded bars and handles , and the locking mechanism are all very good......no problems whatsoever. But they get 1 star for the frankly ridiculous attempt at fitting plastic clamp protectors that are simply the completely wrong size and shape. They are the main part that meets the wood and they leave a "U" shape indent on anything I've tried to clamp tightly. I can either return these...or grind the metal feet narrower....or try to mould the plastic flat with a heat gun. Who is the idiot in quality control who decided a perfectly strong set of clamps were ok with such daft plastic end protectors ?????????????I have edited this up to 3 stars because of the instant and very helpful replies I got from the company. A no fuss prompt refund was issued , and i cannot fault their customer service. As i originally stated....The clamps are very strong , sturdy and of good quality and they are looking into the quality of plastic covers they supply with them going forward.

Worked well while wood working. Held on. Was able to tighten as well.
