It works!!
I have had electric cookie guns and battery operated ones, and manual ones, this one is very light weight, all plastic, amazed at how well it did with my spritz cookies,

First ever cookie press experience went okay
Context: This is our first time trying a cookie press, so take with that what you will - we have nothing to compare it to, and it is possible we made some mistakes since we didn't have any tricks of the trade.Pros:- Used a Spritz Cookie recipe we found online, only 8 min in the oven so it was a quick turnaround for each batch- Fun for the kids with so many different patterns (luckily, they showed on the box how each would turn out)- Easy to clean b/c most of the parts can be put in the dishwasher (we hand-washed the primary "gun" pieceCons:- You can see by our photos they didn't turn out very well at first. My hunch was that we didn't have enough pressure. Once I figured that out, we pushed it a lot harder and turned the "knob" everytime. It didn't seem to catch on anything, so in the end, we thought it was more beneficial to just push it down. You can see in my 2nd photo that we gave up on the "trigger" by midway through and just pressed down the "knob/plunger" to get the cookies to come out.- My 4th photo shows how much cookie dough was left in the tube.- The last photo shows how the set turned out. We obviously got better as we went, but the cookies definitely spread as well - leaving them with bloblike shapes. I am not sure how much of this was due to the recipe or our imperfect pushing out of the cookies.- There was no recipe included. Would have been nice to have just the basic one to get us started.Overall an interesting experience. I don't know how many more times we will use it for cookies before I decide it is too much trouble, and hand-formed ones are just as good. I am looking forward to trying this for icing.

This is a piece of crap
The tube gets stuck to the top handle when you have dough in it. You can't twist it open to add more dough or clean it. I let it soak in hot water for a half hour, constantly changing the water to keep it warm, and the tube would not release from the top handle, rendering it totally useless. Buyer beware....that's for sure.

Harder than it looks
We just used this for the first time. Maybe it's just that we're rookies using one of these cookie presses, but it was much more difficult than we expected. Cookie dough is usually thick, so pushing it through the grates, and even the tube, was no easy task. Maybe it would be a little easier if we sprayed cooking spray on the inside, as well as on the plates. Will give it another shot soon, and will update my review if anything changes.

Works great!
I was using a metal cookie press that my mother gave me over 30 years ago and I was looking for all of the same features in a new product. I'm happy to say that after using it I am very satisfied with how easy it is to use and clean-- it has made pressing cookies so much easier and faster!

Cookie press set has lots of options
I got this cookie press set solely to make Danish butter cookies, but love all the other options and especially the filling nozzles for donuts and cupcakes. That was an unexpected feature I didn't think I'd use but have used the most!

All plastic construction
Not as sturdy or useful as I had hoped for. The all plastic construction (except the press stem) just isn’t up to the job of pushing spritz dough out. It was ok with frosting/icing.If spritz/press cookies are your primary interest in this set, I’d suggest looking for a different cookie press. Amazon has a range of cookie presses in this price range that are better suited to the job.

Too much plastic
This is made entirely of plastic, which makes it kind of hard to use. The dough gets stuck easily and sometimes doesn't come out well because the inserts are plastic. I think it would work better if the little inserts the dough goes through to make the cookie shapes were made of metal. There are a lot of other options, I might go with a different one.
