I bought this as a stopgap as a supplier of a more expensive garment failed to deliver on time...but it proved well worth the very small price. It's well cut and not too flappy. Whilst not super breathable it is good enough and got me through two days of very rainy riding in West France with minimal damp penetration. It is really light and fits well into a jersey pocket leaving room for a other stuff such as a mini pump. I'd say as good as the base Castelli offering, with a little more forgiving sizing for those who may not be out and out racing.

Good value for money! Have worn the jacket for many outside runs and does the job! I put a couple of thin layers underneath which is adequate for me when it is very cold. Keeps me dry when raining! Reflective quality is good and can be seen at night etc. The fit is good but a little tight on my arms with a size large at 6 foot 185 pounds, but I wouldn’t want it baggy for running! That’s just want I prefer.

Plus points: light weight and high visibilityDrawbacks: when I first put on the jacket the ZIP snatched three times in the strip loose material next to the zip left there by the manufacturer. I had to struggle to free the zip again (and myself!!) 3 times, each time at the risk of ruining the zipper itself. I do not know why the manufaturer leaves that useless strip of material fluttering on the side of the zip: all it does is getting in the way of the zipper and snarling up the mechanism! . In the end I had to cut off that annoying strip of material with a pair of scissors. The manufacturer could have done me a favour by cutting it out for me, ionstead! I can now zip up and zip down freely without getting snarled up in that loose piece of cloth each time.Also, I ordered an extra Large: while the jacket is OK the waist is far too narrow for an XL size!

It does the job it’s made for

A super windproof, light shower proof jacket. Don't think it would keep out a downpour but good for out on a run in the hill's with a forecast of drizzle or similar.Perfect fit, great colour with reflective piping.

Ok but no pockets

Fortunately I haven’t had to use the jacket so far (warm weather). It packs down well and certainly feels as though it would cut out wind and be shower proof. However, just trying it on it feels as though it isn’t breathable and would cause a lot of sweating. BUT I repeat, I haven’t used it as yet. My assessment is that it would be useful in autumn and spring weather (cooler) or showers, but wouldn’t be great at venting sweat.
