SINGMATOOLS Baitcasting Reel Drag Clicker Kit for Shimano Curado Tranx Metani...

Installed on JDM Shimano SLX DC 71XG. fit perfectly. This SINGMATOOLS Clicker Kit is made well and probably the best kit available, I've tried a few of the others and they don't compare to this one, in both built quality and the click sound it's smooth and even. Installation is a delicate process the clicker ring is delicate and if forced it will get damaged and bend, take care installing with the correct method pressing in straight is best best not to use a mallet even pressing in by hand isn't what I'd suggest as it will not go in flat it will lean and possible twist it. Once in and installed its great, comes with a few extra spare parts needed and some washers you will not need as this lit seems is also for other reel models.

This drag clicker is great. I saw a few reviews on it and figured I’d try it. I love knowing when the fish is pulling on the drag and gives me more control and confidence. Super easy to install though I feel like the carbon drag washer is a bit cheap and benefits from the drag grease they include as it helps make it stickier. Tried it dry and seemed like I lost some pressure. This was a replacement kit since the first one I ordered was missing contents.

Installation was a bit difficult. I had to use a vice to insert the ringer gear because it's so tight. Other than that, the drag clicker sounds amazing. Ensure you're lightly re-greasing the drag washers and the drag will remain smooth. This kit is more expensive than some of the others, but I think the quality is much better.

THE ALARM RING GEAR HAS A BEVEL. Almost all of the negative reviews are complaining about the alarm ring gear not fitting. I have a Shimano SLX DC XT and I also struggled for 5-10 minutes trying to get the alarm ring gear in. If you look very closely, you'll see one side has a very slight bevel. Insert the bevel side and it is much easier. Still a snug fit for sure, but I got it within a minute or so after flipping it around. I assembled without any washer spacers and the clicker actually popped off the track pretty quickly after using it. I reassembled with a 0.5mm washer and it seems to have solved that. The drag was noticeably harder for me at first, but after setting it really high and cranking hard for a minute it became normal again. Must have just needed to settle a few things or maybe my grease job wasn't the best. In the end it feels pretty damn close to the factory drag settings, just with added clicks which is exactly what I was looking for. I'll be using this reel a lot and I'll update if something breaks on it, otherwise it's still going strong.

I bought this for my SLX DC 151XG and boy oh boy, THIS WAS TOUGH! I ordered this thing twice, and the first time, the alarm ring which is the drag noise gear, the metal is cut SO precise that it bent while I was installing it. I then returned it and got a replacement for free, BUT I had to shave off the knubs on the outside of the alarm ring with a Dremel. This is how I got it to fit. HEATING UP THE METAL WILL NOT WORK, I ALREADY TRIED. Once I got the piece into my reel, the drag noise sounded cool and it worked well...UNTIL I noticed that my anti-reverse bearing (also know as the Roller Clutch Bearing) started to fail, meaning that my SLX started to reel forwards and backwards, which it's supposed to only reel forward. I then had to take apart the bearing, clean it up and install it back into my SLX which took me over 2 hours after watching YouTube videos and staying up late to fix it since I was fishing the next day. I took out the drag clicker and everything that I install and put in the OEM parts. I'm telling you, this is not worth it. Invest in something that Shimano actually makes with their own drag clicker, like the Shimano Antares A. Don't install an aftermarket part that is "made" for the reel, especially since these reels are $100-$200. These parts are not authentic or reliable. You will lose fish just because you want to make your reel sound "cool" when in reality, you can be catching fish instead of hearing your reel sound "cool." The end goal is to catch fish, not hear your drag clicker go off.

Install was easy. Came with everything needed and more. I like it, but for some reason I feel its too loud of a clicker. It also causes the rod to load up then releases with each click. Its not smooth, it adds resistance to your dragon just by having to overcome the detent to click. I haven't fished it yet, but I'll update after I do.

Sounds great, a little bit hard to install at first but once you figure it out it’s fine I was more worried about losing parts or putting something back wrong especially as I have not opened up a bait caster before. Package arrived a lot earlier than expected too.

Absolutely no problems putting it together pretty much straight forward. I read a comment saying it’s too quiet. I’ve yet to fit the other one I ordered to my Shimano SLX XT DC 71 XG reel. Maybe due to it being a smaller reel it may sound quieter. I’m looking forward to doing it and getting out there.

The instructions that came with this are not written well. I understand it might be from a country where English is not their first language, but I fail to see how it would be too difficult or costly to get someone who does speak English to proof read it. The instructions are hard to follow and not very specific. The clicker is very hard to get in place. I ended up bending it. In the end I had to use a hammer to get it in. The clicking sound is very loud. Its a bit overkill for my liking.
