Hard to get on but once they're on, very comfortable. Got the 3xl per chart, typically size 20 in pants but 18 in dresses, classic pear- small waist, long rise, carry weight in hips, thighs and buttocks. these stay up/put and do not compress my rear end at all, it looks natural in clothes. for me they are in between medium and firm support. the material is like a heavy stocking material, the compression in the stomach. belly and thigh area is great at least for me. I put them on, took a struggle and had to futz with them to get them pulled up especially in the buttock area, but then they just became comfortable and so I left them on for about 2 hrs and then took a nap! yep they're comfortable. I ordered and returned last year, HONEYLOVE shorts, these are a dupe for them and 1/4 of the price and capri's which HONEYLOVE does not make. It has a nice large breathable cotton crotch and I think once they are on for a while you will not find them so hard to pull back up for bathroom purposes or to put back on.
