Could Do Better - but it's Clancy we are talking about!
If you are reading this review you are probably already aware that Teeth Of The Tiger is not as good as earlier works like "Sum Of All Fears" or "Without Remorse". However, forget for a moment that it's a Clancy product and it suddenly seems quite a good book. The fact is that I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and I couldn't put it down. That is because TC really knows how to write narrative and dialogue and puts the story elements together in a way that, whilst predictable, somehow sucks you in - every time!Yes the characters are two-dimensional. Yes the baddies are ridiculous and full of superficial contradictions while the 'heroes' are the usual all American, solid thinking right-wing stereotypes that Tom Clancy likes to portray but thankfully this book shys away from the sort of extended political soap box rhetoric that so ruined 'Executive Orders' and hence it becomes so damn readible its actually irritating for those of us who are trying to write our own novels. It ought to get four stars from me but as we have come to expect so much from Clancy, in the light of his other works it only gets three. That doesn't make it bad - just not great.

New Age
This book is a bit short, and pretty simple to read, which is okay since it's introducing a lot of future recurring characters. There are no characters from previous Ryan books, except Jack Jr., and that's why it's good to keep it simple. It's very easy to read.

Good story, although seems to digress alot
I enjoyed this book and would have given it 4 stars other than the annoying repeating of the narrative on the audible version. It would have been nice if someone had listened to the audible narrative and edited the duplicated paragraphs, it's not just one or two duplicates but enough to make me want to comment.

Clancy strikes again
Quite relevant in its long-winded and over technical way, but the very idea of having a clandestine assassination squad operating at the whim of a non-governmental entity is not only frightening but rather reflective on American 'shoot em up' policy. While the majority of the book is quite good, it is over descriptive and assumes the reader is technically and militarily aware. Also, to have a veritable 'rookie' responsible for killing on a scale is extremely hard to both believe and understand.Again, a quite good, but sometimes rather boring book.

Christmas Presant
Got Hubby this one to go with Jack Ryan Jr 2 so that he could read them one after another. However he has already read it but it refreshed the story
