Great kit, would recommend.
Can't fault this kit.I've built a couple of other kits that required everything to be assembled- literally everything, and it got a bit tedious at times. This is an easier kit and fun to press the pre-cut ply out of the sheets.Yes, the beginning was a bit tedious with all the papers, books and scrolls that required cutting out, but I did those in increments while doing some other assembly work. The instructions were absolutely clear, no missing parts, everything fit together, except for the coat rack which was too long to fit behind the desk once I put the walls together. Easily remedied by placing it higher on the wall.I did the whole thing with basic glue (mod podge), I would recommend using a faster setting adhesive like superglue at times, but in the end it was beneficial if some bits needed a bit of adjustment.I also used some watered down acrylic paint to cover some of of the more exposed bits of wood. And painted the wires so they wouldn't stand out.But all in all, a very satisfying build. I took my time and enjoyed it hugely. I now need another one.

A beautiful kit, worthy of the price and the time!
A little sceptical, as had seen these advertised on Facebook, but I'm glad I took the risk! The kit is beautifully and logically organised, and of a very good quality. To start with, it seems like making the books up will take forever, but once past that phase, the real fun begins! All in all, it took me about 3½ hours to complete, and it is well worthy of that time. The attention to detail is incredible. The motion sensor on the front is a thoughtful touch. Some of the more intricate parts can be difficult to remove, so care should be taken. Also, one of the lights was not working, but it doesn't seem to detract from the overall result.I used PVA glue for the majority of the build, and super glue for more structural parts.I love this! It'll sit proudly in my book case, and I doubt it will be long before it's joined by another.

Fantastic kit, pleasure to build, excellent quality
This was brought as a gift for my adult daughter who loves crafts and reading. She hasn't done one before and we weren't really sure what to expect. The quality of the wood in the kit, the way everything assembled with a snug fit really impressed both of us. Whilst you do need glue for assembly it was mainly decorating i.e. sticking paper images to the wooden structure rather than to hold the structure together. The instructions were a little difficult to follow at times so I could image children may require some help with this. Probably the most difficult part to follow was the wiring for lights, we managed to get this wrong but it didn't effect the overall finish. In general we were both really happy with the gift, so much so I suspect this will be the start of an ongoing hobby for both us.

Lovely book nook, it looks great!
I really enjoyed building this, but the instructions were sometimes a bit vague, especially the ones for the little books and stickers. It's the first time I've ever built a book nook, but it won't be the last! It would help if the pieces had the numbers printed on them rather than just next to them on the pop out board. Some of the words are badly translated, so some parts took a process of elimination to understand what they were for, I managed to work it out in the end with a little bit of patience and minimal bad words. The pieces popped out really easily, and I had no issues getting the parts to fit together. I used craft Tweezers for the small fiddly parts and high tack craft glue to stick everything down, it worked very well, and set pretty quickly. The cuts on the large book stickers were poorly lined up so I had to cut them down on one side, but they looked fine once I'd trimmed them so it wasn't an issue. Wiring up the lighting was fiddly and initially frustrating, but it was pretty easy once I understood how the little circuit board worked. I managed to hide the wires easily and I really love how it looks when it's lit up, the lights really bring it to life! It looks great on the shelf next to my Mina Lima Harry Potter books! The little books are so cute and the little details on the furniture really do make it look good. It took me around 5 hours to put together because it took a while to understand some of the instructions, but I got there in the end. I love it so much that I've ordered a different one to build on my day off work at the weekend. I'd definitely recommend this one, but take your time and be patient with the instructions.

Parts dont fit at all!
When I was buying this product I fell in love with the idea and since my mom loves these types of crafts and books I decided to get it for her christmas gift. Imagine how dissapointed we both were when the parts would not hold together AT ALL!!! They were all very loose and cut poorly which was a shock considering how many reviews on here talk about the quality of this product. We've tried using a variety of glues to try stick parts together but no matter how thick or fast drying the glue was, the parts would just wobble and fall out. Maybe this was just a rare badly cut batch but as for me I am severly dissapointed. Ive bought similar wood 3d puzzles from other brands and not one ever messed up their cutting so badly.
