Q: Will this product help kill grass floating and growing on the surface of our pond?

Not sure about this product with the grass as I'm ordering for the first time. I can tell you we live in FL and had awful grass problem a few years ago. We got it removed (it was so out of control it appeared you could just walk across the pond) and then got a permit from FL Fish and Wildlife for 10 grass carps. We ordered some from a local fish farm and have been 4 years or more with no grass problems!

Q: How much should be applied for a 6-7k gallon pond?

Hi...I had this exact same question because my Koi pond is 6-7k gallons too! I went to the Pondworx website...saw a contact spot. Long story short within 15 minutes a cus service person there was kind enough to e-mail me back this answer. For 6,000 gallons she said start with SIX ounces....said once water clears up a bit, cut it down to 4 oz per week for maintenance. This product is new for me so I can't say how it will work, but hopefully this will answer some questions on how much to use...even for some who have 3,000 gallons or 10,000 gallons..I think most here on Amazon don't have 1 million gallons ala the bottle :) can use the 6oz for 6,000 gallons as a reference...FROM Pondworx cus service. Is your pond aerated? If not, start there. A septic aerator some hose and a a couple diffusers in the pond at opposite ends will be a good start, then, depending on the bio load in your pond, (i.e. fish, ducks, leaf debris, etc...) adding the pond bacteria will help break down the bio matter and help - in concert with the aerator - keep algae from becoming a problem. A healthy pond has moving water, oxygen and good bacteria system to break down the muck. The septic aerator and the bacteria hit on all points.
