I bought this mount as a replacement after the original one that came with my radar detector broke, and so far it’s been working great. It was easy to install and fit my Uniden detector without any issues. The suction cup feels sturdy and holds well on both the windshield and dashboard. Once it’s in place, it stays put and doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap like some replacement mounts do. Overall, this has been a solid replacement part and does exactly what I needed it to do. If your original Uniden mount breaks, this is a good, reliable option.

The build quality is very good. I am impressed by how good the suction is on my windshield. I have not tested it on other surfaces, but for smooth windshields, it works great. It is easily adjustable to fit different angles.

Wanted a “good for the money” mount for my Uniden R3 detector and after reading a ton of reviews on this one I decided to proceed with the purchase. Everything looked straight when I received it but then I tried to switch out the mounting plate or whatever you’d call that piece that clicks into the detector with the shorter option one that comes in the kit. Then one of the two small screws just would not budge. I tried with my own precision screwdriver and still it just barely loosened up. The screw ended up stripping because of how stupid tight it’s stuck in there. It’s like they used some high temp loctite or hired superman to assemble it. So I realized I wasn’t winning that battle and unfortunately I’d just have to roll with the longer plate which came on it out of the box and put the other screw back in. Now it’s lopsided, like the detector sits off center because of that one screw not wanting to come out or go back in all the way. It actually kinda pissed me off because I spend a lot of money on amazon and this kind of issue with any product on here is really irritating. I know I won’t get my money back for the purchase which is also a little frustrating but whatever. I ended purchasing a different one for the same price that’s 100% better in quality and functionality. Sorry for the rant but yeah, not the best experience.

This radar detector mount is way better than using suction cups. It feels much more stable and secure, and it doesn’t randomly fall off like suction mounts tend to do, especially in heat. Once installed, it stays firmly in place and holds the detector steady while driving. The build quality feels solid, and the mount keeps the detector positioned properly without wobbling. It works great on the windshield or dashboard and gives a cleaner, more reliable setup compared to traditional suction cups. Overall, this is a huge upgrade if you’re tired of suction cups failing. I highly recommend this mount for a more secure and frustration-free radar detector setup.

Really sticky, firm mount. Comes with 2 different mounting blades for different makes of radar detector. Nicely positioned up by rear view mirror, easy to remove detector and ran power from center roof mount , super neat.

Fits well into the modern Uniden radar detectors. However, the only issue I am having is that after 3-4 days of it being attached to my windshield it loses its suction and the unit typically falls off the windshield at the most inopportune time.

Works great with my Uniden detector! Even in hot and cold weather, the thing stays firm in place on the windshield.

How bad can a $13 purchase be? Well, this isn't worth the money spent. It does NOT fit the R7. While the metal bracket on its own might fit, the plastic base is the same width as the metal and so it does fit into the groove. So it ends up hanging not flush. Rotates about 30-40 degrees, it's just getting worse This is NOT stock or even close.

I was hesitant to buy this at first because of some negative reviews, but I’m glad I did. It works perfectly on my Uniden radar, no vibrations, no falling off, and it stays firmly in place on both the windshield and the dashboard. It does exactly what it’s supposed to. I bought it more than 6 months ago.

Can not tell the difference between this and the OEM one. Stays on in summer and winter

I have had my Uniden DFR9 Detector in my windshield for almost 4 years. It has fallen down several times and the small twin suction cups deformed enough that they no longer worked. This replacement has only one larger suction cup and an additional adhesive ring to make sure that it is secure. It comes with two different lengths of clips for different detectors. The only issue I have had so far is that the angle tenoning screw seems to back off and I don't feel that I want to over tighten it as I fear that I may break it. Every now and then I have to re angle the unit and tighten. My suspension is quite stiff and may exacerbate the issue.

Does nit fit the R8 properly, while it is a close fit it is a hair to large. Another issue with this one is the angle, it either will sit hit or low and not level. Going to return.

Little difficult to stick the radar on it’s a tight fit, but other than that, it works good
