They seem to be a knock off of the classic Dube club, and I'm assuming they have the center dowel because of the screws holding the rubber on each end... though they do feel a little... hollow? Of course they are hollow, just don't seem to have the solid feel of an actual Dube. That said, for 1/3 the price, I'm happy enough with the quality.
