Knife sharpness: 10/10 Beauty: 10/10 Block folded in a drawer: 8/10 Block easeled on the counter: 2/10 The foldable block is a nightmare on the counter. It has an easel so it can stand on the counter which looks stunning and high end, but the magnets aren’t strong and the weight distribution was made to be easy to pull up from a drawer, so one knock of the handle when it’s upright and that sharp end flies up. If you have it facing the direction of easily using the handle on the counter, it’s backwards and doesn’t look as nice from the back. However, the knives are INCREDIBLY sharp. I accidentally ran my finger over an edge unwrapping them and the cut was so clean it didn’t bleed for like a minute. I thought I cut myself, looked at my finger and saw there was a white line, but it wasn’t painful so I thought it was just an impression, but as I finished unwrapping I noticed I was bleeding everywhere. It was so clean my body didn’t even realize it was cut. I don’t cook much so it doesn’t bother me much, but if you plan on using knives every day and want them on display, the round one is probably a safer option.

Purchased these as a Christmas gift and haven’t been used yet, but the quality is immediately noticeable. The knives feel solid and well-made, and the magnetic block is a great design—no awkward slots, just easy placement. Beautiful set overall.

It’s so sharp, watch out, it got my thumb already. It checks all the boxes was looking for: 1. Fit in a drawer 2. With its own storage and 3. A variety of type of knives and it had to comes with a paring knife so you don’t have to buy a separate one. The wood case is great and it’s magnetic, so easy handle in and out of drawer. It can also stand on the counter with no issues. I accidentally left the bread knife in the dishwasher and it came out fine. The wood just needed oil. This is a great set if you want it hidden and save space for your counter.
