Marginal performance. Broke after year and a half. *by S***F on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2018* Long term quality remains to be seen, but the description as an all stainless steel can opener is a bit misleading. I have had three can openers break on me over the past few years and was looking for something rugged to replace them. Stainless steel seemed to fill the bill. Unfortunately, there are two plastic components hidden in the product photo which are exactly the ones that have failed in my past can openers. (See my photo). As to performance, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Often it seems to close too far when attached and I have to release it and start over before it will work. Sometimes it operates perfectly. At other times it tears up the can (see my photo). All I can say is I have been using can openers for 50 years and this one is no miracle breakthrough.UPDATE: After 18 months of very light use, the turning mechanism snapped off while opening a can. See the 3rd photo. This one works maybe 1/2 as well. It doesn't adjust well at all to different depths of can lids and won't cut some at all and cuts intermittently on others.
