Wonderful collection of yoga sequences
I’m always looking for new ways to mix and match asanas for my own practice and when I teach. This is a great collection of yoga sequences, each with a nice flow, creative and practical. These are creative and inspiring. The minimalist presentation allows for your own creativity to enter the process.

Love the variety of the book!
I love the huge variety of sequences (everything from sequences for those that sit at a computer all day, to "poses that would be awkward naked" LOL)- it's easy to find something to do based on what you did/how you feel on a particular day. The pictures are also pretty adorable! If you're new to yoga, you might want to buy some sort of companion book that tells you HOW to do the poses (or look online). This book just has many different sequences to choose from so you can build a home practice, but doesn't go about walking you through getting into the poses, modifications, etc. I am not new to yoga myself, and I found myself looking up a few that I was unfamiliar with here and there. This book has motivated me to keep a home practice going. I was getting stagnant and not doing much....the variety in sequences and lengths is really appealing to me and it definitely makes me want to do yoga more often again!

The book is great! However I'd not recommend buying the kindle version
The book is great! However I'd not recommend buying the kindle version. The layout is horrible and awful to use. Get the hard cover. It's worth the additional cost.

What I loved about this book was the array of sequences for your practice. No matter how I am feeling I can find something that fits exactly what I need. Perfect for the novice and the experienced, the author writes as if she is your friend giving practical, loving guidance. Additionally, the pictures are so cute and demonstrate the postures beautifully. Many yoga books are not user-friendly and I appreciate the effort made in the Joy of Yoga to steer the yogi on the path to a simple yet gratifying practice.

Fabulous book
This little book is a great addition to my yoga library! I love the "first thing in the morning" and "bedtime" yoga sequences and plan to make them staples in my day... what a wonderful, centering, heart-opening way to begin and end the day. I am excited to try the sequences for glowing skin, self-love, creating space, and so many others. This book is different than my other books because there are short to medium length sequences for specific purposes/intentions, and can fit into whatever chunks of time I have (5-10 minutes, 15 minutes, or I can combine a couple sequences for a full daily practice). The plane yoga and office/desk yoga sequences will be great for doing at work as well, as other books often do not have short sequences that are mainly standing or seated in a chair. Highly recommend for any yogi, or a gift for the yoga lover in your life!! ***Note to author - I'd love a yoga book like this just for women, with chapters on trying to conceive, yoga for different stages of our cycles, yoga during pregnancy, yoga for the new mom, and to cultivate different types of goddess energy :)

My wife loves the book
I bought this book for my wife and she loves it. In fact she loved it so much that she showed it and raved about it (via Skype) to our daughter who now wants a copy. Very cleverly organized sequences for so many situations and applications; and super cute and easy to follow illustrations. Thanks Emma!

No cute illustrations
I’m sure it will do the job in introducing me to yoga but I read the reviews and the photos posted were of these adorable stick figures so I was looking forward to a cute whimsical book with personality. … bummed that I got the boring version but I’ll get over it.

Very nearly perfect - with one reservation
The best and most varied yoga routines I've seen - not just gimmicky routines, but genuinely interesting sequences. You'd expect hip openers and leg strengtheners, and they are here - but so too are restorative or challenging sequences for 'tired feet', for 'people who type too much', for menopause, for runners and even yoga for hangovers. There is one serious problem which prevents me from giving it five stars. The illustrations are RUBBISH. The cute cartoony figures are almost useless to explain poses you don't already know - I have several times had to go online to look up a pose which simply isn't clear. It's a real shame that this otherwise perfect book is let down by the illustrations. For that reason this is not a book for beginners, but if you've done a few yoga classes and know your downward dog from your Eagle, then I can't recommend it enough.

Molto carino
Molto, molto carino.
