Review: Saved the spark plug threads on my Honda gx160 - This tool saved me a lot of time. I'm working on a generator and someone didn't install the correct spark plug. The threads weren't the same pitch and the correct plug wouldn't thread in. The threads looked okay so instead of drilling them out I decided to chase the threads first. This tool worked perfectly and a new plug fits as it should. Be sure to grease it to catch debris and to prevent galling This is what I did: 1. Apply grease to threads and grooves of the tool 2. Very gently seat it in the hole 3. Work it ccw and cw until you start to catch a thread 4. Stop, and verify that it isn't crooked. I put a socket extension on it to make it longer so it's easy to see if it's in cock-eyed 5. Turn slowly, keeping it perpendicular to the head 6. Slowly thread it in and out, gently working through any resistance 7. Occasionally take it out and clean out the grooves/threads of the tool 8. Gently work your way to the bottom, going in and out, in and out 9. Keep cleaning gunk off the tool as it sticks to the grease 10. Clean up the threads/etc
