The chime itself is nice and loud, but not obnoxious. There are also a ton of different chimes to choose from – I think I counted over 50! It was actually kind of fun going through them and picking one we liked. We settled on a classic "ding-dong," but it's nice to have options. The fact that it's waterproof is a big plus too. We've had some pretty heavy rain lately, and the button hasn't missed a beat. No worries about it getting damaged by the weather. For the price, this doorbell is an absolute steal.
