I think the quality of the bags should hold up as long as you are not forcing your shoes in and out of the bag. The fabric is a strong woven nylon. With smaller feet, I can fit two (or more) pairs of sandals in sideways, so they are wide enough for any width shoe. I can't comment on the length, but they could be short for men with a larger size shoe. I thought they were a great deal for 3, as we have normally used plastic grocery bags which don't work as well!
